The filter system of claim 1, wherein the pre-filter assembly is coupled to the filter assembly. 3. The filter system of claim 1, wherein the pre-filter material comprises at least one selected from a group consisting of polyester, stainless steel, paper, aluminum, and an alloy. 4. The filter system of claim 1, wherein the filter assembly comprises: a housing having a cavity formed therein; anda filter positioned within the cavity and coupled to the housing,wherein the housing of the filter assembly is coupled to the explosion-proof enclosure. 5. The filter system of claim 1, wherein the pre-filter assembly is coupled to a wall of the explosion-proof enclosure, wherein the pre-filter assembly is positioned on an exterior side of the explosion-proof enclosure. 6. The filter system of claim 5, further comprising: a first pressure measuring device configured to measure a first pressure at the pre-filter assembly;a second pressure measuring device is configured to measure a second pressure within the explosion-proof enclosure; anda pressure differential measuring device configured to: determine a difference between the first pressure and the second pressure; andsend an alert when the difference exceeds a threshold amount, wherein the alert notifies a user that maintenance of the filter system is required. 7. The filter system of claim 5, further comprising: an air flow measuring device located within the explosion-proof enclosure and configured to: measure an amount of air flowing through the pre-filter assembly; andsend an alert when the air flow measures below a threshold amount, wherein the alert notifies a user that maintenance of the filter system is required. 8. The filter system of claim 5, further comprising: a temperature measuring device located within the explosion-proof enclosure and configured to: measure a first temperature within the explosion-proof enclosure; andsend a first alert of a plurality of alerts when the first temperature measures above a first threshold amount, wherein the first alert notifies a user that maintenance of the pre-filter assembly is required within a first time period. 9. The filter system of claim 8, wherein the temperature measuring device is further configured to: measure, after measuring the first temperature, a second temperature within the explosion-proof enclosure; andsend a second alert of the plurality of alerts when the second temperature measures above a second threshold amount, wherein the second alert notifies a user that the maintenance of the pre-filter assembly is required within a second time period,wherein the second temperature is greater than the first temperature,wherein the second time period is less than the first time period, andwherein the second threshold amount is less than the first threshold amount. 10. The filter system of claim 1, wherein the air is controlled by removing dust from the air. 11. The filter system of claim 1, wherein the pre-filter material is coupled to the filter assembly using elastic. 12. The filter system of claim 1, wherein pre-filter material comprises a first surface area that is greater than a surface area of a filter of the filter assembly. 13. The filter system of claim 1, further comprising: at least one sensor that measures an operating value of an operating parameter associated with the air passing through the filter assembly;a control device communicably coupled to the at least one sensor; anda maintenance device that operates based on a signal received from the control device. 14. The filter system of claim 13, wherein the maintenance device comprises an air puffer. 15. The filter system of claim 13, wherein the maintenance device comprises a vibration device. 16. The filter system of claim 13, wherein the maintenance device comprises a mechanical cleaning device. 17. The filter system of claim 13, wherein the at least one sensor comprises a pressure sensor. 18. The filter system of claim 13, wherein the at least one sensor comprises an air flow sensor. 19. The filter system of claim 13, wherein the at least one sensor comprises a temperature sensor. 20. The filter system of claim 1, wherein the filter assembly and the explosion-proof enclosure forms a flame path where the filter assembly couples to the explosion-proof enclosure. 21. A filter system, comprising: a filter assembly configured to mechanically couple to an explosion-proof enclosure and cover an aperture in the explosion-proof enclosure; anda pre-filter assembly located adjacent to the filter assembly and covering the filter assembly and the aperture in the explosion-proof enclosure, wherein the pre-filter assembly comprises a reinforcement structure and a pre-filter material disposed over the reinforcement structure, wherein the pre-filter material controls air passing therethrough,wherein the pre-filter assembly is configured to be located outside the explosion-proof enclosure, andwherein the filter assembly receives the air from the pre-filter assembly and further controls the air passing therethrough into the explosion-proof enclosure.
