According to one embodiment, a rotorcraft pitch link includes a housing and a piston assembly. The housing comprises a first chamber and a second chamber. A first housing opening allows a first fluid to flow into the first chamber, and a second housing allows a second fluid to flow into the second chamber. The piston assembly is at least partially disposed within the housing and comprises a piston head and a piston rod coupled to the piston head. The piston head separates the first chamber from the second chamber.

The rotorcraft of claim 1, further comprising at least one fluid pump operable to provide the first fluid to the first chamber and the second fluid to the second chamber. 3. The rotorcraft of claim 1, wherein the first fluid has a varying pressure and the second fluid has an approximately constant pressure. 4. The rotorcraft of claim 1, wherein a pressure difference between the first fluid and the second fluid is operable to move the piston head. 5. The rotorcraft of claim 1, further comprising a position sensor operable to measure movement of the piston assembly. 6. The rotorcraft of claim 5, wherein the position sensor is a linear variable differential transformer. 7. The rotorcraft of claim 1, the piston lock assembly comprising a second piston head and a second piston rod, wherein the second piston rod is operable to engage the piston rod. 8. The rotorcraft of claim 7, wherein the second piston rod is operable to engage the piston rod in response to a reduction in pressure of the second fluid. 9. A method of providing independent blade control, comprising: receiving a first fluid in a first chamber of a housing through a first housing opening;receiving a second fluid in a second chamber of a housing through a second housing opening;moving a piston head separating the first chamber from the second chamber in response to a pressure difference between the first fluid and the second fluid;moving a rotor blade of a rotorcraft in response to moving the piston head; andproviding a piston lock, the piston lock comprising:a second housing, wherein a third housing opening allows the second fluid to flow into the second housing; anda piston lock assembly at least partially disposed within the second housing. 10. The method of claim 9, further comprising varying pressure of the first fluid, wherein moving the piston head comprises moving the piston head in response to variations in pressure of the first fluid. 11. The method of claim 9, wherein moving the rotor blade comprises changing a distance between a swashplate and a hub of the rotorcraft. 12. The method of claim 9, wherein receiving the second fluid in the second chamber further comprises maintaining the second fluid at an approximately constant pressure. 13. The method of claim 9, further comprising restricting movement of the piston head if pressure of the second fluid falls below a threshold. 14. A rotorcraft pitch link, comprising: a housing comprising a first chamber and a second chamber, wherein a first housing opening allows a first fluid to flow into the first chamber and a second housing opening allows a second fluid to flow into the second chamber;a piston assembly at least partially disposed within the housing and comprising a piston head and a piston rod coupled to the piston head, the piston head separating the first chamber from the second chamber; anda piston lock, the piston lock comprising:a second housing, wherein a third housing opening allows the second fluid to flow into the second housing; anda piston lock assembly at least partially disposed within the second housing. 15. The rotorcraft pitch link of claim 14, wherein the pitch link is configured to be coupled between a swashplate and a hub of a rotorcraft such that movement of the piston rod changes a distance between the swashplate and the hub. 16. The rotorcraft pitch link of claim 14, wherein the first fluid has a varying pressure and the second fluid has an approximately constant pressure. 17. The rotorcraft pitch link of claim 14, wherein a pressure difference between the first fluid and the second fluid is operable to move the piston head. 18.
