A multi-component divider including a first divider component and a connection mechanism for a second divider component. The second divider component connects to the first divider component when the first divider component is connected to a base. The second divider component extends above the first divider component, thereby extending the overall height of the divider. The base and multi-component divider can be used in locations where there is limited space between shelves, such as a shelf in a freezer or refrigerated display, or in any application where a higher divider may be preferred, but cannot be installed. The base can additionally include a pusher moveable along a longitudinal direction of the base, wherein the pusher is also adjustable linearly along a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the base.

1. A merchandise-display system comprising: an integrated base-and-divider assembly for supporting displayed merchandise, wherein the base-and-divider assembly includes a base portion adapted for operative coupling to a shelf,a multiple component divider portion for dividing displayed merchandise into rows, wherein the divider portion protrudes from the base portion such that the divider portion separates the base portion into a first portion having a pusher track and a second portion; wherein the multiple component divider portion comprises a first divider component and a second divider component for increasing the height of the multiple component divider; anda spring-urged pusher located in the pusher track for pushing merchandise along the first portion toward a front of the shelf, wherein the pusher includes a pusher face that is linearly slidable along a planar horizontal direction perpendicular to the divider portion, and wherein the base and divider assembly is configured to engage with a front rail that extends along and is affixed to a front portion of the shelf. 2. The merchandise-display system of claim 1, wherein the first divider component, the pusher track, and the second portion form a unitary, one-piece construction. 3. The merchandise-display system of claim 1, further comprising: a front barrier configured to deter products from being pushed beyond the front barrier by the spring-urged pusher. 4. The merchandise-display system of claim 1, wherein the pusher face is extendable in the planar horizontal direction from a first position to a plurality of second positions. 5. The merchandise-display system of claim 4, wherein the pusher face in the first position is located adjacent the divider portion, and in the one of the plurality of second positions is located away from the divider portion. 6. The merchandise-display system of claim 1, wherein the pusher face is mounted to a pusher base. 7. The merchandise-display system of claim 6, wherein the pusher base includes at least one flange for mounting the pusher base to the base portion. 8. The merchandise-display system of claim 7, wherein the flange of the pusher base is mountable to the pusher track of the base portion. 9. The merchandise-display system of claim 6, wherein the pusher base is operatively coupled to a pusher urging element. 10. A merchandise-display system comprising: a base portion comprising a pusher track having a top surface adapted for supporting merchandise;a multiple component divider comprising a first divider component extending from the base portion at substantially a right angle and a second divider component connected to the first divider component that increases the height of the multiple component divider; anda pusher element, wherein the pusher element includes a pusher face that is linearly slidable along a planar horizontal direction perpendicular to a length of the first divider component. 11. The merchandise-display system of claim 10, further comprising: a plurality of mating teeth on the base portion;a rail with a plurality of mating teeth; and, wherein a portion of the plurality of mating teeth in the rail engage a portion of the plurality of mating teeth of the base portion to inhibit movement of the base portion in relation to the rail, and wherein the base portion and the first divider component define a unitary, one-piece construction. 12. The merchandise-display system of claim 11 wherein the plurality of mating teeth of the rail are thin and closely spaced. 13. The merchandise-display system of claim 11 wherein the plurality of mating teeth of the base portion are thin and closely spaced. 14. The merchandise-display system of claim 11 wherein the plurality of mating teeth of the rail are located at substantially continuous positions along the rail. 15. The merchandise-display system of claim 10, further comprising: a coil spring, configured to urge the pusher element along the pusher track. 16. The merchandise-display system of claim 10, further comprising: a plurality of detents on a back of the pusher element. 17. The merchandise-display system of claim 10, wherein at least one or the plurality of detents engage the pusher face to hold the pusher face in an extended position. 18. The merchandise-display system of claim 10, further comprising: an aperture in the second divider component, configured to receive a finger to assist in connection of the second divider component and the first divider component. 19. The merchandise-display system of claim 10, further comprising: a front barrier designed to deter products from being pushed beyond the front barrier by the pusher element. 20. A merchandise-display system comprising: an integrated base-and-divider assembly for supporting displayed merchandise, the base-and-divider assembly comprising a base portion adapted for operative coupling to a shelf, the base portion forming a pusher track;a multiple component divider portion for dividing displayed merchandise into rows, wherein the divider portion protrudes from the base portion; wherein the divider portion and the pusher track form a unitary, one-piece construction; anda spring-urged pusher located in the pusher track for pushing merchandise along the first portion toward the front of the shelf, the pusher comprising a pusher face that is linearly slidable along a planar horizontal direction perpendicular to the divider portion. 21. The merchandise-display system of claim 20 wherein the base and divider assembly is configured to engage with a front rail that extends along and is affixed to a front portion of the shelf. 22. The merchandise-display system of claim 20 wherein the divider portion protrudes from the base portion such that the divider portion separates the base portion into a first portion, the first portion forming the pusher track and a second portion, and wherein the multiple component divider portion comprises a first divider component and a second divider component for increasing the height of the multiple component divider.
