A method for installing two or more heaters in a subsurface formation, comprising: providing a single spool comprising a substantially helical configuration of two or more heaters that have been spooled on the single spool, wherein the helical configuration of heaters comprises a selected pitch between about 5% and about 10%, and wherein a heat output of the helical configuration of heaters is determined by the selected pitch; varying the pitch of the helical configuration of heaters along a length of the heaters;unspooling the helical configuration of heaters from the single spool; andinstalling the helical configuration of heaters into an opening in a subsurface formation. 2. The method of claim 1, wherein the subsurface formation comprises a hydrocarbon containing formation. 3. The method of claim 1, wherein the heaters are insulated conductor heaters. 4. A method for installing three heaters in a subsurface formation, comprising: providing a single spool comprising a substantially helical configuration of three heaters that have been spooled on the single spool;varying the pitch of the helical configuration of heaters along a length of the heaters;unspooling the helical configuration of heaters from the single spool; andinstalling the helical configuration of heaters into an opening in a subsurface formation. 10. The method of claim 9, wherein the subsurface formation comprises a hydrocarbon containing formation. 11. The method of claim 9, wherein the heaters are insulated conductor heaters. 12. The method of claim 9, wherein the helical configuration of heaters comprises a pitch between about 5% and about 10%. 13. The method of claim 9, further comprising twisting the three heaters using a twist head. 14. The method of claim 9, further comprising twisting the three heaters as the heaters are spooled onto the single spool. 15. The method of claim 9, further comprising twisting the three heaters as the heaters are spooled onto the single spool into a substantially helical configuration. 16. The method of claim 9, further comprising spooling the helical configuration of heaters onto the single spool. 17.
