Each of first sheet segments of the waist-opening sheets is longer than the corresponding second sheet segments. End portions are bonded to outer surfaces of the outer sheets.

The disposable wearing article according to claim 1, wherein the waist elastics bordering the variable stiffness regions lie so as to overlap ends of the layered sheets. 4. The disposable wearing article according to claim 1, wherein a dimension in the longitudinal direction of the low stiffness sub-region is in a range of 1 mm to 10 mm. 5. The disposable wearing article according to claim 1, wherein a dimension in the longitudinal direction of the variable stiffness regions is in a range of 20 mm to 35 mm.
