The hydrogen generator of claim 1, wherein said source of said aluminum and said source of said alkali metal hydroxide is a mixture of said aluminum, said alkali metal hydroxide, and a binder that keeps said aluminum and said alkali metal hydroxide in a desired ratio and substantially prevents water from reacting with said aluminum and said hydroxide. 3. The hydrogen generator of claim 1, further comprising: a source of heat. 4. The hydrogen generator of claim 1, further comprising: a heat exchange mechanism for receiving heat produced by said chemical reaction. 5. The hydrogen generator of claim 4, further comprising a thermoelectric generator for receiving heat from said heat exchange mechanism and produces electricity. 6. The hydrogen generator of claim 5, further comprising: a hydrolysis cell for receiving electricity from said thermoelectric generator. 7. The hydrogen generator of claim 1, wherein said consuming apparatus is at least one of a fuel cell, a combustion engine, a turbine, a diesel engine, an automobile, a truck, an emergency vehicle, a construction equipment, an inboard boat motor, an outboard boat motor, a ship, a barge, a locomotive, a motorcycle, a bicycle, a semi-truck, a submarine, a farming equipment, a forklift, a helicopter, a rocket, a garbage truck, a bus, a wheel chair, an industrial engine, a back-up power unit, a trucking industry alternative power unit, an emergency generator, or a military equipment. 8. The hydrogen generator of claim 1, wherein at least one of an interior of a building, a body of water, a cabin of a vehicle, an interior of a tent, an interior of a temporary structure, or an engine is configured to receive heat generated by said chemical reaction. 9. The hydrogen generator of claim 1, wherein a heat pump used to cool at least one of an interior of a building, a body of water, a cabin of a vehicle, an interior of a tent, an interior of a temporary structure, or an engine is configured to receive heat generated by said chemical reaction. 10. The hydrogen generator of claim 1, further comprising; a combustion engine for receiving said hydrogen and producing steam. 11. The hydrogen generator of claim 10, further comprising; a condenser for receiving said steam and producing recovered water. 12. The hydrogen generator of claim 11, further comprising: a water filter for filtering said recovered water.
