The CPAP device as claimed in claim 1, further comprising a housing having a plurality of faces, wherein the display screen, the finger-operable dial, the humidifier indicator backlight, and the user input component all are located on a common face of the plurality of faces,wherein the finger-operable dial and the humidifier indicator backlight are positioned separately on said common face, andwherein the finger-operable dial and the user input component are positioned separately on said common face. 5. The CPAP device as claimed in claim 4, wherein the first manner of manipulation of the dial includes rotation of the dial. 6. A continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) device to treat a sleep disordered breathing disorder of a user, comprising: a housing having a plurality of faces;a blower configured to generate pressurized gas in a pressure range suitable for treatment of a breathing disorder;a user interface having a display screen positioned on a first face of said plurality of faces to display at least one menu and a submenu including a plurality of parameters associated with said menu, the display screen having a backlight associated therewith, and a multifunction control member positioned on the first face operable in a first manner of operation to scroll between said parameters and in a second manner of operation, different from the first manner of operation, to select one or more of the parameters; anda humidifier indicator backlight configured to indicate operation of a humidifier and a heated tube, the humidifier indicator backlight having: an on state and an off state, a first backlit color and a second backlit color, and a first brightness and a second brightness, and the humidifier indicator backlight being configured to change between the first backlit color and the second backlit color and/or between the first brightness and the second brightness in response to user adjustment of a user adjustable setting of the humidifier and/or a user adjustable setting of the heated tube when the humidifier indicator backlight is in the on state,wherein the first backlit color and the second backlit color are different colors and the first brightness and the second brightness are different. 44. The CPAP device as claimed in claim 43, wherein the first manner of operation of the control member includes rotation of the control member. 45. The CPAP device as claimed in claim 44, wherein the second manner of operation of the control member includes touching, pressing, and/or depression of the control member. 46. The CPAP device as claimed in claim 43, wherein the control member comprises a dial. 47. The CPAP device as claimed in claim 46, further comprising an encoder configured to output a preset value for a preset increment of rotation of the dial; and wherein the dial is rotatable and when the dial is turned relatively slowly, the parameter is adjusted in minimal increments per encoder increment, and when the dial is turned relatively quickly, the parameter will be adjusted in larger or whole number increments per encoder increment. 48. The CPAP device as claimed in claim 43, further comprising a user input component positioned on the first face separately from the multifunction control member and configured to enable control of a ramp function in which a pressure level delivered to a patient is increased to a selected therapy pressure over a ramp time, said user input component having indicia thereon consisting of a ramp symbol. 49. The CPAP device as claimed in claim 43, wherein the display screen is configured to display a home screen, an information screen, and/or a setup screen. 50. The CPAP device as claimed in claim 49, wherein each of the home screen, the information screen, and the setup screen that is displayed is a main screen that displays at least one of the parameters. 51. The CPAP device as claimed in claim 84, wherein each of the humidifier setting and the heated tube setting are independently adjustable. 106. The CPAP device as claimed in claim 84, wherein the indicator backlight is configured to change between a first brightness and a second brightness in response to user adjustment of a user adjustable setting of the humidifier and/or the heated tube when the indicator backlight is in the on state, and wherein the first brightness and the second brightness are different. 107. The CPAP device as claimed in claim 88, wherein the display screen comprises an LCD display. 108. A continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) system to treat sleep disordered breathing, comprising: a housing having a plurality of faces;a blower configured to generate pressurized gas in a pressure range suitable for treatment of a breathing disorder, the blower contained within the housing;a humidifier removably attachable to the housing;a user interface having a display screen positioned on a first face of said plurality of faces, the display screen configured to display at least one menu and a submenu including a plurality of parameters associated with said menu, the display screen having a backlight associated therewith, and the user interface including a multifunction control member positioned on the first face operable in a first manner of operation to scroll between said parameters and operable in a second manner of operation, different from the first manner of operation, to select one or more of the parameters; andan indicator light configured to indicate operation of a humidifier and a heated tube, the indicator light having a first brightness and a second brightness and at least a first color and a second color, and the indicator light being configured to change between at least the first color and the second color and/or between the first brightness and the second brightness in response to user adjustment of a user adjustable setting of the humidifier and/or the heated tube,wherein the first color and the second color are different colors and the first brightness and the second brightness are different, andwherein the multifunction control member and the indicator light are positioned separately on the first face. 109. The CPAP system as claimed in claim 108, wherein the first manner of operation of the control member includes rotation of the control member. 110. The CPAP system as claimed in claim 109, wherein the second manner of operation of the control member includes touching, pressing, and/or depression of the control member. 111. The CPAP system as claimed in claim 108, wherein the control member comprises a dial. 112. The CPAP system as claimed in claim 108, wherein the display screen is configured to display a home screen, an information screen, and/or a setup screen. 113. The CPAP system as claimed in claim 112, wherein each of the home screen, the information screen, and the setup screen that is displayed is a main screen that displays at least one of the parameters. 114. The CPAP system as claimed in claim 112, wherein the home screen is a default screen. 115. The CPAP system as claimed in claim 108, further comprising a removable memory device configured to record data. 116. A method to control a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) device to non-invasively treat a sleep disordered breathing disorder of a user, comprising: displaying on a backlit display a plurality of CPAP device functions/modes and a plurality of parameters associated with at least one of said CPAP device functions/modes;updating the backlit display to indicate scrolling between said parameters when a single finger-operable dial is manipulated in a first manner of manipulation;updating the backlit display to reflect selection of one of the parameters when the dial is manipulated in a second manner of manipulation; andindicating operation of a humidifier and a heated tube of the CPAP device with an indicator backlight, the indicator backlight having: an on state and an off state, a first color and a second color, and a first brightness and a second brightness,wherein indicating operation of the humidifier and/or the heated tube further comprises changing the indicator backlight between the on state and the off state,wherein indicating operation of the humidifier and/or the heated tube further comprises changing the indicator backlight between the first color and the second color and/or between the first brightness and the second brightness in response to user adjustment of a user adjustable setting of the humidifier and/or a user adjustable setting of the heated tube when the indicator backlight is in the on state, andwherein the first color and the second color are different colors and the first brightness and the second brightness are different. 125. The method as claimed in claim 124, further comprising enabling control of a ramp function, in which a pressure level delivered to a patient is increased to a selected therapy pressure over a ramp time, in connection with a user input component having indicia thereon consisting of a ramp symbol. 126. The method as claimed in claim 124, wherein the CPAP device further comprises a housing having a plurality of faces, and wherein the backlit display, the finger-operable dial, and the indicator backlight are positioned separately on a common face of the plurality of faces. 127. The method as claimed in claim 126, wherein the first manner of manipulation of the dial includes rotation of the dial. 128. The method as claimed in claim 127, wherein the second manner of manipulation of the dial includes touching, pressing and/or depression of the dial. 129. The method as claimed in claim 126, wherein the CPAP device functions/modes relate to one or more of the following: humidification settings, including climate control level, heated tube temperature, and humidity, and flow generator settings, including pressure, patient type, patient weight, and treatment mode. 130. The method as claimed in claim 126, further comprising delivering pressurized gas in the range of 2-30 cm H2O with a blower. 131. The method as claimed in claim 130, wherein the housing has an inlet and an outlet. 132. The method as claimed in claim 126, further comprising displaying a home screen, an information screen, and/or a setup screen. 133. The method as claimed in claim 132, wherein each of the home screen, the information screen, and the setup screen that is displayed is a main screen that displays at least one of the parameters. 134. The method as claimed in claim 132, wherein the home screen is a default screen. 135. The method as claimed in claim 126, further comprising recording data to a removable memory device. 136. The method as claimed in claim 135, wherein said removable memory device comprises a data card. 137.
