Systems and methods for device resource sharing for network resource conservation are disclosed. In one embodiment, the method can include, for example: detecting that multiple devices are attempting to access a same content source over a mobile network. The same content source can then be polled once in a single poll event and the content received in response to the single poll event of the one same content source is transmitted to one device of the multiple devices. The other devices of the multiple devices can receive the content from the one device, over a non-cellular connection.
1. A method for network resource conservation through device resource sharing, the method, comprising: detecting that multiple devices are attempting to access a same content source over a cellular mobile network through separate, respective polls of the cellular mobile network, wherein the multiple
1. A method for network resource conservation through device resource sharing, the method, comprising: detecting that multiple devices are attempting to access a same content source over a cellular mobile network through separate, respective polls of the cellular mobile network, wherein the multiple devices are managed by different users and not associated with the same user;detecting that mobile devices meet a criteria;wherein, the attempt to access the same content source is made over the mobile network that includes 3G, 4G or LTE network;wherein, the same content source is polled once in a single poll event by a single one device of the multiple devices;transmitting content received in response to the single poll event of the one same content source to the one device of the multiple devices and a second device of the multiple devices over a wireless network;wherein the transmitting occurs when it is determined that the content received responsive to the single poll event is relevant to the different users who use the one device and the second device;wherein the content received in response to the single poll event is stored in a local cache of the one device to satisfy subsequent requests of the second device or other devices of the multiple devices, wherein the multiple mobile devices are each cellular phones operating over the mobile network, wherein the criteria includes a spacial criterion and a social criterion, andnotifying a local proxy on the one device that the content stored in the local cache is no longer valid, wherein the response is removed from the local cache when the response is no longer valid. 2. The method of claim 1, wherein, the same content source is polled by the one device of the multiple devices. 3. The method of claim 1, wherein, the same content source is polled by a proxy server able to communicate with the one device; wherein, the proxy server receives the content in response to the poll and transmits the content to the second device of the multiple devices. 4. The method of claim 1, wherein, the second device of the multiple devices receive the content from the one device over a non-cellular connection. 5. The method of claim 1, wherein, when the multiple devices are co-located, the content is accessible to the second device or the other devices of the multiple devices through a virtual cache pooled from local caches of the multiple devices. 6. A method for resource network resource conservation, the method, comprising: detecting that two cellular mobile devices to receive same content over a cellular mobile network meet a criteria, wherein the two mobile devices are not associated with the same user;wherein the two mobile devices are to receive the same or similar content over the cellular mobile network;wherein the mobile network is a 3G, 4G or LTE network;wherein, the content is received at one mobile device of the two mobile devices in response to one poll event by the one mobile device of a content source or application server hosting the same content that is to be received by both of the two mobile devices used by different users when it is determined that the content received responsive to the one poll event is relevant to the different users of the two mobile devices;wherein, the content is cached at the one mobile device to satisfy future requests for the content from any of the two mobile devices without having to poll the content source or application server, wherein the criteria includes a spacial criterion and a social criterion, andnotifying a local proxy on the one device that the content stored in the local cache is no longer valid, wherein the response is removed from the local cache when the response is no longer valid. 7. The method of claim 6, further comprising, synchronizing subsequent poll requests from the two mobile devices to the content source or the application server. 8. The method of claim 6, wherein, the content is received at another one of the two mobile devices from the one mobile device via a non-cellular connection. 9. The method of claim 6, wherein, the content source or the application server is polled by the one mobile device. 10. The method of claim 6, wherein, the content source or the application server is polled by a proxy server remote from the one mobile device. 11. The method of claim 6, wherein, the criteria includes a temporal criterion. 12. The method of claim 11, wherein, the temporal criteria is met when the two devices are accessing a same content source or application server at a same time or near a same time. 13. The method of claim 11, wherein, the temporal criteria is met when the two devices have a same mobile application in operation at a same time or near a same time. 14. A method for resource sharing among cellular mobile devices, the method, comprising: sending content to a first device of the cellular mobile devices over a cellular mobile network;wherein the first device and a second device of the mobile devices are associated with different users and are not associated with the same user;wherein the first device and the second device meet a criteria;wherein, the second device of the mobile devices receives the content from the first device when it is determined that the content sent to the first device is relevant to the different users;wherein the mobile network includes one or more of a 3G, 4G or LTE network;wherein the wireless network includes a Wi-Fi network, the mobile network, a near-field communication network, blue tooth or local area network, wherein, the determination is based at least in part on the first device and the second device of the mobile devices having a same mobile application installedwherein the criteria includes a special criterion and a social criterion, andnotifying a local proxy on the one device that the content stored in the local cache is no longer valid, wherein the response is removed from the local cache when the response is no longer valid. 15. The method of claim 14, wherein, the content is sent to the first device, in response to detecting that mobile devices are to receive the same content over the mobile network are co-located. 16. The method of claim 15, wherein, co-location includes a condition where the two mobile devices are serviced by a same cellular tower. 17. The method of claim 15, wherein, co-location includes a condition where the two mobile devices can communicate via near field wireless communication. 18. The method of claim 15, wherein, co-location includes a condition where the two mobile devices are connected to or have access to a same Wifi network. 19. The method of claim 14, wherein, the content is transmitted from the first device to the second device via a peer-to-peer connection. 20. The method of claim 14, wherein, the content is transmitted from the first device to the second device via Bluetooth or near field wireless connection. 21. The method of claim 14, wherein, the content is sent to the first device, in response to determining that the different users of the first and second devices share common interest. 22. The method of claim 14, wherein, the content is sent to the first device, in response to determining that the different users of the first and second devices share common friends in a social network accessed via the two mobile devices. 23. The method of claim 14, wherein, resource sharing among the two mobile devices associated with the different users is set up automatically upon determining that the mobile devices are co-located. 24. The method of claim 14, wherein, the content is sent to the first device, in response to determining that the first and second devices have the same mobile application and both are running in the foreground. 25. The method of claim 14, wherein, the content is sent to the first device, in response to determining that the first and second devices have the same mobile application and both are running in the background. 26. A system for resource sharing among mobile devices, the system, comprising: means for, configuring resource sharing among the mobile devices on determining that the mobile devices are co-located;means for, sending content to a first device of the mobile devices over a cellular mobile network, wherein, the mobile network includes one or more of 3G, 4G or LTE network;wherein, the first device and a second device are used by two different users that are not associated with each other;wherein the first mobile device and the second mobile device meet a criteria;wherein the second device of the mobile devices receives the content from the first device over a wireless network and, when it is determined that the content sent to the first device is relevant to the two different users, wherein the wireless network includes one or more of a Wi-Fi network, the mobile network, a near-field communication network, blue tooth or a local area network;wherein the criteria includes a special criterion and a social criterion, andnotifying a local proxy on the one device that the content stored in the local cache is no longer valid, wherein the response is removed from the local cache when the response is no longer valid. 27.
