1. A method of making a solid dosage form using a machine comprising: (i) a die platen having one or more forming cavities each having an inner wall, a first opening at the surface of one side of said die platen, and a second opening at the surface on the opposite side of said die platen;(ii) one or
1. A method of making a solid dosage form using a machine comprising: (i) a die platen having one or more forming cavities each having an inner wall, a first opening at the surface of one side of said die platen, and a second opening at the surface on the opposite side of said die platen;(ii) one or more first forming tools each adapted to move into one of said cavities through the first opening of said forming cavity;(iii) one or more second forming tools each adapted to move adjacent to one of said second openings or into one of said cavities through the second opening of said forming cavity;(iv) at least one first RF electrode operably associated with said one or more first forming tools, said one or more second forming tools, or said inner wall of said one or more forming cavities; and(v) at least one second RF electrode operably associated with said one or more first forming tools, said one or more second forming tools, or said inner wall of said one or more forming cavities;wherein said machine is adapted to form a dosage form between a first forming tool and a second forming tool within a forming cavity, wherein said first RF electrode and said second RF electrode are arranged within said machine such that when RF energy is conducted between said first RF electrode and said second RF electrode, said RF energy passes through the portion of said forming cavity adapted to form said dosage form, andwherein said method comprises:(a) adding a powder blend to said forming cavity;(b) moving said first forming tool into said forming cavity through the first opening of said forming cavity such that said powder blend is formed into the shape of said dosage form within said forming cavity between said first forming tool and said second forming tool;(c) conducting RF energy between said first electrode and said second electrode such that said energy heats said powder blend within said forming cavity to form said dosage form; and(d) removing said dosage form from said forming cavity. 2. The method of claim 1, wherein said RF energy is conducted at a frequency from about 1 MHz to about 50 MHz. 3. The method of claim 1, wherein said first forming tool and said second forming tool are not in contact with said formed shape of said dosage from at the time said RF energy is conducted. 4. The method of claim 1, wherein said first RF electrode is operably associated with said first forming tool, said second RF electrode is operably associated with said second forming tool, and the portion of the inner wall of said forming cavity which is adapted to form said dosage form is insulative to said RF energy. 5. The method of claim 4, wherein said dosage forms are placed into a blister card upon said removal from said forming cavity. 6. The method of claim 4, wherein said second forming tool moves within said forming cavity to adjust the amount of powder blend that is added to said forming cavity. 7. The method of claim 4, wherein said method further comprises adding a second powder blend to said forming cavity wherein said second powder blend is different from said powder blend. 8. The method of claim 1, wherein said first RF electrode is operably associated with said first forming tool and second RF electrode is operably associated with the portion of said inner wall of said forming cavity that is adapted to form said dosage form. 9. The method of claim 1, wherein said powder blend is added to said forming cavity from a feeder. 10. The method of claim 1, wherein one of said first or second forming tools removes said dosage form from said forming cavity. 11. The method of claim 10, wherein said dosage forms are placed into a blister card upon said removal from said forming cavity. 12. The method of claim 1, wherein said second forming tool moves within said forming cavity to adjust the amount of powder blend that is added to said forming cavity. 13. The method of claim 1, wherein said method further comprises adding a second powder blend to said forming cavity wherein said second powder blend is different from said powder blend. 14. The method of claim 1, wherein the surface of said tablet is further exposed to infrared energy having a wavelength of from about 0.5 to about 5 micrometers. 15. The method of claim 1, wherein said machine further comprises an RF energy source in communication with said first RF electrode and said second RF electrode. 16. The method of claim 1, wherein said first RF electrode is operably associated with said first forming tool and second RF electrode is operably associated with the portion of said inner wall of said forming cavity that is adapted to form said dosage form. 17. The method of claim 1, wherein said first RF electrode is operably associated with a first portion of said inner wall of said forming cavity that is adapted to form said dosage form and said second RF electrode is operably associated with a second portion of said inner wall of said forming cavity that is adapted to form said dosage form. 18. The method of claim 1, wherein said first forming tool and said second forming tool are heated and/or said die platen is heated. 19. The method of claim 1, wherein said machine further comprises a feeder adapted to add powder blends into said forming cavity. 20. The method of claim 1, wherein said die platen comprises at least six of said forming cavities.
