Mg:(C) optionally one or more of the secondary elements of: 0.05 to 3.0 wt. % Ag;0.05 to 3.0 wt. % Li; and0.10 to 6.0 wt. % Zn;(D) optionally one or more of the tertiary elements of: up to 2.0 wt. % each of one or more of Mn, Sn, Bi, Pb, and Ni:up to 1.0 wt. % each of one or more of Sr and Sb;up to 0.5 wt. % each of one or more of V, Cr, Zr, Sc, Ti, Hf, Mo, Co, and rare earth elements;(E) not greater than 0.15 wt. % each of silicon (Si) and iron (Fe);(F) the balance being aluminum and other elements, wherein the other elements are limited to not more than 1.10 wt. % each, and not more than 0.35 wt. % in total;wherein the aluminum alloy body includes an amount of alloying elements that leaves the aluminum alloy body substantially free of insoluble constituent particles after the solutionizing step(a);(b) after the solutionizing step (a), cold rolling the aluminum alloy body to a final gauge of from 0.006 to 0.249 inches, thereby producing an aluminum alloy sheet product, wherein the cold rolling reduces the thickness of the aluminum alloy body from 55% to 90% to achieve the final gauge; and(c) after the cold working step (b), thermally treating the aluminum alloy sheet product, wherein the thermally treating step (c) comprises maintaining the aluminum alloy sheet product below its recrystallization temperature:wherein the cold rolling step (b) and the thermally treating step (c) are performed to achieve an increase in long-transverse tensile yield strength as compared to a reference-version of he aluminum alloy sheet product in the as cold-worked condition; andwherein the cold rolling step (b) and the thermally treating step (c) are performed such that the aluminum alloy sheet product realizes a predominately unrecrystallized microstructure; andwherein the cold rolling step (b) and the thermally treating step (c) are performed such that the aluminum alloy sheet product achieves a long-transverse elongation of at least 5%. 2. The method of claim 1, wherein the solutionizing step (a) comprises quenching the aluminum alloy sheet product, and wherein the quenching occurs in the absence of deformation of the aluminum alloy sheet product. 3. The method of claim 1, comprising forming the aluminum alloy sheet product into a shape during the thermal treatment step (c). 4. The method of claim 1, wherein no purposeful thermal heating treatments are applied to the aluminum alloy body between the solutionizing step (a), and the cold rolling step (b). 5. The method of claim 1, wherein the cold rolling step (b) occurs in the absence of purposeful heating of the aluminum alloy body. 6. The method of claim 1, wherein the solutionizing step (a) is the only or final solutionizing step of the method. 7. The method of claim 6, wherein the thermally treating step (c) occurs at a temperature of from 150° F. to 425° F. 8. The method of claim 7, wherein the cold rolling step (b) comprises cold rolling the aluminum alloy body in the range of from 60% to 85%. 9. The method of claim 7, wherein the cold rolling step (b) comprises cold rolling the aluminum alloy body in the range of from 70% to 80%. 10. The method of claim 7, wherein the aluminum alloy sheet product is at least 75% unrecrystallized. 11. The method of claim 10, wherein the cold rolling step (b) is initiated within 60 hours of the solutionizing step (a). 12. The method of claim 11, wherein the cold rolling step (b) is initiated at ambient temperature. 13. The method of claim 12, wherein the cold rolling step (b) and the thermally treating step (c) are performed such that the aluminum alloy sheet product achieves a long-transverse elongation of at least 8%. 14. The method of claim 13, wherein the cold rolling step (b) and the thermally treating step (c) are performed such that the aluminum alloy sheet product achieves at least a. long-transverse tensile yield strength of at least 68 ksi and a long-transverse ultimate tensile yield strength of at least 73 ksi. 15. The method of claim 13, wherein the cold rolling step (b) and the thermally treating step (c) are performed such that the aluminum alloy sheet product realizes at least 5% higher tensile yield strength over a referenced aluminum alloy body; wherein the referenced aluminum alloy body has the same composition as the aluminum alloy body;wherein the referenced aluminum alloy body is processed to a T87 temper;wherein the referenced aluminum alloy body has a tensile yield strength that is within 1 ksi of its peak tensile yield strength. 16. The method of claim 15, wherein the cold rolling step (b) and the thermally treating step (c) are performed such that the aluminum alloy sheet product achieves at least a 10% increase in long-transverse tensile yield strength relative to the reference-version of the aluminum alloy sheet product. 17. The method of claim 15, wherein the cold rolling step (b) and the thermally treating step (c) are performed such that the aluminum alloy sheet product achieves at least equivalent plane-stress L-T fracture toughness relative to the reference-version of the aluminum alloy sheet product. 18. The method of claim 16, wherein the cold rolling step (b) and the thermally treating step (c) are performed such that the aluminum alloy sheet product achieves at least a 5% increase in plane-stress L-T fracture toughness relative to the reference-version of the aluminum alloy sheet product. 19. The method of claim 1, wherein the cold working step (b) comprises: first cold working a first portion of the aluminum alloy body by a first amount; andsecond cold working a second portion of the aluminum alloy body by a second cold working amount, wherein the second cold working amount is different than the first cold working amount.
