The system of claim 1 further comprising a degumming unit fluidly connected with the at least one high shear device. 6. The system of claim 1 further comprising a neutralization unit fluidly connected with the at least one high shear device. 7. The system of claim 1 further comprising a bleaching unit fluidly connected with the at least one high shear device. 8. The system of claim 1 further comprising a hydrogenation unit upstream of the at least one high shear device, and fluidly connected therewith. 9. The system of claim 1 further comprising a deodorization unit fluidly connected with the at least one high shear device. 10. The system of claim 1 further comprising a steam refining unit fluidly connected with the at least one high shear device. 11. The system of claim 1 wherein the at least one rotor and the at least one stator are separated by a shear gap width in the range of from about 0.25 μm to about 2.5 mm. 12. The system of claim 1 wherein the at least one high shear device is configured to provide a shear rate of at least 20,000 s−1. 13. The system of claim 1 wherein the at least one high shear device is operable to provide a product containing gas bubbles having an average bubble diameter of less than about 50 μm. 14. The system of claim 1 wherein the at least one high shear device is operable to provide a tip speed of the at least one rotor of at least 40 m/s. 15. The system of claim 1 further comprising a temperature control system configured to control the temperature in the at least one high shear device. 16. The system of claim 1 wherein the at least one high shear device is configured to provide a product that is at least 5% supersaturated. 17. The system of claim 16 wherein the at least one high shear device is configured to provide a product that is at least 10% supersaturated. 18. The system of claim 17 wherein the at least one high shear device is configured to provide a product that is at least 15% supersaturated. 19. The system of claim 1 further comprising at least one apparatus fluidly connected with the high shear device, and selected from the group consisting of (a) oil extraction units, degumming units, neutralization units, bleaching units, deodorization units, and steam refining units located upstream or downstream of the high shear device and configured to treat the oil prior to or subsequent passage through the high shear device, and (b) hydrogenation units located upstream of the high shear device and configured to treat the oil prior introduction into the high shear device. 20. A high shear system for processing oil, the system comprising; a high shear device comprising a rotor and a complementarily-shaped stator, wherein the high shear device is configured to mix a gas with the oil, thus forming a high shear product; andat least one apparatus fluidly connected with the high shear device, and selected from the group consisting of (a) oil extraction units, degumming units, neutralization units, bleaching units, deodorization units, and steam refining units located upstream or downstream of the high shear device and configured to treat the oil prior to or subsequent passage through the high shear device, and (b) hydrogenation units located upstream of the high shear device and configured to treat the oil prior to introduction into the high shear device. 21. The system of claim 20 wherein the at least one apparatus is located upstream of the high shear device and configured to treat the oil prior to introduction into the high shear device. 22. A high shear system for processing oil, the system comprising; a high shear device comprising a rotor and a complementarily-shaped stator, wherein the high shear device is configured to form a dispersion comprising bubbles of a gas dispersed in the oil, wherein the at least one high shear device is configured to provide a supersaturated dispersion, wherein the oil is supersaturated with the gas;a temperature control system fluidly connected with the high shear device, and configured to control the temperature in the high shear device; andat least one apparatus selected from the group consisting of (a) oil extraction units, degumming units, neutralization units, bleaching units, deodorization units, and steam refining units upstream or downstream of the high shear device and fluidly connected therewith, and configured to treat the oil prior to or subsequent passage through the high shear device; and (b) hydrogenation units located upstream of the high shear device and fluidly connected therewith, and configured to treat the oil prior to introduction into the high shear device.
