A carton in accordance with claim 2, wherein the at least one top panel includes a first top panel coupled to a second top panel across a fold line, and the at least one slot is positioned on the second top panel. 5. A carton in accordance with claim 2, wherein the at least one of the two side panels comprises: an outer side panel emanating from one of the opposing end edges of the bottom panel; andan inner side panel emanating from the outer side panel across at least one fold line, wherein the inner side panel is positioned in substantially face-to-face relationship with the outer side panel. 6. A carton in accordance with claim 5, wherein the at least one stacking tab emanates from the outer side panel. 7. A carton in accordance with claim 1, wherein the corresponding side edge region of the at least one top panel includes at least one notch, the at least one notch is configured to engage the at least one stacking tab when the at least one top panel is in the closed position. 8. A carton in accordance with claim 7, wherein the at least one of the two side panels comprises: an outer side panel emanating from one of the opposing end edges of the bottom panel; andan inner side panel emanating from the outer side panel across at least one web, wherein the inner side panel is positioned in substantially face-to-face relationship with the outer side panel. 9. A carton in accordance with claim 8, wherein the at least one stacking tab is formed by the at least one web. 10. A carton in accordance with claim 1, wherein the corresponding side edge region of the at least one top panel includes at least one locking tab, the at least one locking tab is configured to engage the at least one stacking tab when the at least one top panel is in the closed position. 11. A carton in accordance with claim 10, wherein the at least one stacking tab defines a notch configured to engage the at least one locking tab. 12.
