The portable ice barrel of claim 1 wherein a ratio of a volumetric capacity of the assembled portable ice barrel to a volume of the container is configured to be between 2:1 to 4:1. 6. The portable ice barrel of claim 1 wherein the base comprises a grid, a disc, a top rim, a bottom rim, and a series of wheels. 7. The kit of claim 12 wherein the height is greater than the length and the length is greater than the width, and wherein a diameter of the assembled portable ice barrel is less than the width. 14.
