The cover of claim 1, wherein the first cover segment includes a recessed region that is dimensioned to receive a base of the tablet computing device, the base representing only a partial thickness of the tablet computing device. 6. A tablet computing device assembly comprising: a first cover segment including an inner surface and an exterior surface, the first cover segment receiving the tablet computing device with the interior surface and the first cover segment including a first magnetic component, the inner surface including a recessed region;a second cover segment extending from the first cover segment, the second cover segment including (i) a first panel extending from the first cover segment, the first panel structured to pivot relative to the first cover segment, (ii) a second panel extending from the first panel, the second panel structured to pivot relative to the first panel, and (iii) a third panel extending from the second panel, the third panel being structured to pivot relative to the second panel and including a second magnetic component; anda tablet computing device, wherein a base portion of the tablet computing device is retained in the recessed region of the inner surface, and wherein a display portion of the tablet computing device is dimensioned to rest on the inner surface so that a peripheral thickness of the display portion is exposed;wherein the first panel, second panel, and third panel are each pivotable relative to the first cover segment to maintain the first magnetic component and the second magnetic component in at least (i) a first magnetic coupling to support the tablet computing device in a first operable, supported, and partially upright position, and (ii) a second magnetic coupling to support the tablet computing device in a second operable, supported, and partially upright position that is different from the first position. 7. The tablet computing device assembly of claim 6, wherein the tablet computing device includes a set of external features on the peripheral thickness which are accessible when the base portion is retained in the recessed region. 8. The tablet computing device assembly of claim 6, wherein the first magnetic component and the second magnetic component are positioned to actively maintain at least one of the first operable, supported, and partially upright position or the second operable, supported, and partially upright position. 9. The tablet computing device assembly of claim 6, wherein the exterior surface of the first cover segment includes one or more protrusions which support the third panel in at least one of the first operable, supported, and partially upright position or the second operable, supported, and partially upright position. 10. A cover for a tablet computing device comprising: a first cover segment including an inner surface and an exterior surface, the first cover segment receiving the tablet computing device with the interior surface and the first cover segment including a first magnetic component that is positioned to enable a magnetic coupling with another component that is brought into contact with the exterior surface, the inner surface including a recessed region; and a second cover segment extending from the first cover segment, the second cover segment including multiple panels, one of which includes a second magnetic component, each of the multiple panels being pivotable relative to the first cover segment to maintain the first magnetic component and the second magnetic component in at least provide, using the first magnetic component, (i) a first magnetic coupling to support the tablet computing device in a first operable, supported, and partially upright position, and (ii) a second magnetic coupling to support the tablet computing device in a second operable, supported, and partially upright position that is different from the first position. 11. The cover of claim 10, wherein the exterior surface of the first cover segment includes one or more protrusions which support the second cover segment in at least one of the first or second operable, supported, and partially upright positions. 12. The cover of claim 10, wherein the first cover segment includes a recessed region that is dimensioned to receive a base of the tablet computing device, the base representing only a partial thickness of the tablet computing device.
