An online test platform facilitates using test metadata to determine test question timing and selection. The platform also facilitates development, delivery, and management of educational tests with interactive participation by students, teachers, proctors, and administrators even when some or all of them are remotely located. The platform may include administrator interfaces, test proctor interfaces, and test taker (e.g. student) interfaces to allow each participant to view, navigate, and interact with aspects of the online test platform that are intended to meet their needs.

1. A method for analyzing data from online testing, the method comprising: providing a test station at a remote network;polling, from a first server on a local network, the test station on the remote network to retrieve information relating to a test taker;storing, from the first server on the local network, to a network file server, the information relating to the test taker;polling the test station on the remote network, from the first server on the local network, to determine that a test session communication has been interrupted;polling the test station on the remote network, from the first server on the local network, after determining the test session communication has been interrupted, to determine that the test session communication has been reestablished;polling the test station on the remote network, from the first server on the local network, after determining that the test session communication has been reestablished, to determine whether a test session at the test station on the remote network has resumed with a second server;exchanging information about the test station between the first server on the local network and the second server;switching the test session at the test station on the remote network back over to the first server on the local network, after determining that the test session at the test station on the remote network has resumed with the second server, wherein the switching is based upon the information about the test station;receiving data relating to the test taker provided within the online educational testing platform;performing a statistical analysis based at least in part on the data; andpresenting a result of the statistical analysis within an online proctoring interface. 2. The method of claim 1, wherein the data relating to the test taker relates to a test taker demographic. 3. The method of claim 1, wherein the data relating to the test taker relates to a test or subtest type. 4. The method of claim 1, wherein the data relating to the test taker relates to subtest type. 5. The method of claim 1, wherein the data relating to the test taker relates to a test site. 6. The method of claim 1, wherein the data relating to the test taker relates to a duration of time taken for a test or a test question. 7. The method of claim 1, wherein the data relating to the test taker relates to a percentage of test takers answering a question correctly. 8. The method of claim 1, wherein the result of the statistical analysis is presented graphically. 9. The method of claim 1, further comprising polling the test station by the first server to determine a change in test session related actions. 10. The method of claim 1, further comprising polling the first server by a web browser of the test station to determine a screen to present to the test taker. 11. A method for analyzing data from online testing, the method comprising: verifying that a computing facility for a test taker has a correct configuration in order to communicate with an online educational testing platform via a web browser on the computing facility for the test taker;initiating an installation protocol on the computing facility to enable the computing facility to communicate with the online educational testing platform via the web browser;preventing applications other than an educational testing application to be operable during an educational test session;polling the online educational testing platform via the web browser to determine a screen to present to the user;polling the web browser to obtain data relating to progress of the test taker;receiving data relating to a test provided within the online educational testing platform to the test taker via the computing facility for the test taker;performing a statistical analysis based at least in part on the data; andpresenting a result of the statistical analysis within an online proctoring interface. 12. The method of claim 11, wherein the result of the statistical analysis is related to the test taker's progress. 13. The method of claim 11, wherein the result of the statistical analysis is related to a test question. 14. The method of claim 11, wherein the result of the statistical analysis is related to a test. 15. The method of claim 11, wherein the result of the statistical analysis is related to a test taker. 16. The method of claim 11, wherein the result of the statistical analysis is related to a test site. 17. The method of claim 11, wherein the result of the statistical analysis is related to a duration of time taken for a test question or for a test. 18. The method of claim 11, wherein the result of the statistical analysis is related to a percentage of test takers answering a question correctly or answering the question incorrectly. 19. The method of claim 11, wherein the presentation is a graphical presentation. 20. The method of claim 11, wherein the presentation is a text presentation.
