The computer-implemented method of claim 1, further comprising: identifying, by the computer system, authorization information for the order; anddetermining, by the computer system, whether the order is authorized for the customer based, at least in part, on a comparison of the authorization information and the customer information for the customer, wherein the order is processed in response to determining that the order is authorized for the customer. 3. The computer-implemented method of claim 2, wherein: the authorization information is identified from one or more SMS text messages that are provided for the order, andthe one or more SMS text messages include the first SMS text message that includes the encoded information. 4. The computer-implemented method of claim 3, wherein the one or more SMS text messages include a third SMS text message that (i) is provided in association with the first text SMS message and (ii) includes the authorization information. 5. The computer-implemented method of claim 2, wherein: the customer information includes a PIN code for the customer, the comparison comprises comparing the authorization information with the PIN code, andthe order is determined to be authorized when the authorization information matches the PIN code. 6. The computer-implemented method of claim 2, further comprising: determining, by the computer system, whether authorization of the customer is required to process the order based, at least in part, on the customer information, wherein identifying the authorization information and determining whether the order is authorized are performed in response to determining that authorization is required. 7. The computer-implemented method of claim 6, wherein the determination of whether authorization is required is based on user-defined authorization settings maintained by the computer system that indicate whether authorization is required for orders placed for the customer. 8. The computer-implemented method of claim 2, wherein identifying the authorization information comprises: sending, by the computer system and to the mobile computing device, a third SMS text message that prompts the customer to enter the authorization information; andreceiving, at the computer system and from the mobile computing device, a fourth SMS text message that includes the authorization information. 9. The computer-implemented method of claim 1, wherein processing the order comprises: retrieving, by the computer system, stored payment information for the customer; andtransmitting, by the computer system, the payment information for the customer to one or more payment processing systems that are associated with one or more of: (i) the customer for the order and (ii) the vendor for the order. 10. The computer-implemented method of claim 1, wherein the encoded information includes one or more codes that correspond to the one or more items in the order. 11. The computer-implemented method of claim 1, wherein identifying the vendor and the customer comprises: selecting a first unique identifier and the second unique identifier in the first SMS text message;identifying, by the computer system, a customer account that corresponds to the first unique identifier, wherein the customer account identifies the customer and includes the customer information; andidentifying, by the computer system, a vendor account that corresponds to the second unique identifier, wherein the vendor account identifies the vendor and includes the vendor information. 12. The computer-implemented method of claim 11, wherein: one of the first unique identifier and the second unique identifier is a telephone number from which the first SMS text message was sent, andthe other one of the first unique identifier and the second unique identifier is included as part of a payload of the first SMS text message. 13. A computer system comprising: a communication interface that is programmed to (i) receive first SMS text messages over one or more mobile carrier networks that include encoded information for orders, (ii) transmit second SMS text messages over the one or more mobile carrier networks that provide order confirmations, and (iii) transmit internet-based messages over one or more other networks to other computer systems to cause the orders to be fulfilled, wherein the encoded information corresponds to, at least, an image that represents one or more items that are included in each of the orders;a decoder that is programmed to automatically decode, in response to receiving the first SMS text messages, the encoded information included in the first SMS text messages to identify the one or more items included in each of the orders, wherein the decoding includes (i) identifying the image based on the encoded information, (ii) determining whether the image corresponds to any of a plurality of items available for order based on a comparison of information extracted from the image with information associated with the available items, and (iii) identifying the one or more items based on the determining;one or more storage devices that are programmed to store customer information and vendor information; andone or more processors that are programmed to (i) identify vendors and customers for the orders based, at least in part, on the first SMS text messages, and (ii) insert into the internet-based messages at least a portion of the following information derived from the first SMS text messages: (a) information associated with the one or more items, (b) the customer information, and (c) the vendor information, wherein the second text messages are transmitted by the communication interface mobile computing devices that are associated with the customers. 14. The computer system of claim 13, wherein the one or more processors are further programmed to identify authorization information for the orders and determine whether the orders are authorized for the customers based, at least in part, on comparisons of the authorization information and the customer information for the customers, wherein the orders are processed in response to determining that the orders are authorized for the customers. 15. The computer system of claim 14, wherein: the authorization information is identified from one or more SMS text messages that are provided for the orders, andthe one or more SMS text messages include the first SMS text messages that includes the encoded information. 16.
