The hinge assembly of claim 1 wherein the bore accepts a head of the screw while the shank of the screw passes through the hinge pin such that the bore in the hinge pin keeps the hinge assembly low profile by allowing the head of the screw to reside in the hinge pin bore after translation is complete. 3. The hinge assembly of claim 1 wherein the compression coil spring is selected having a spring stiffness which ensures translation only occurs when desired. 4. The hinge assembly of claim 1 wherein the screw is provided as a shoulder screw having a predetermined diameter. 5. The hinge assembly of claim 1 wherein the yolks are provided having alignment slots provided therein.
