The light fixture includes a frame configured to define a first channel, and a substantially flat light emitting diode (LED) panel disposed within the frame. Power circuitry is disposed within the first channel, the power circuitry being configured to electrically couple the substantially flat LED panel to an external AC power supply. The power circuitry is sized to be positioned within the first channel and has a length and a width, the length-to-width ratio being at least 5 to 1, and optionally at least 10 to 1. The power circuitry is configured to convert an AC input into a DC output suitable for powering the substantially flat light emitting diode (LED) panel. The substantially flat light emitting diode (LED) panel includes an optically transmissive panel, and an array of LEDs disposed adjacent to an edge of the optically transmissive panel and disposed adjacent at least one edge of the frame.

The light fixture of claim 1, wherein the first set of white LEDs and the second set of white LEDs are arranged in a single row in an alternating arrangement. 3. The light fixture of claim 1, wherein the first set of white LEDs are arranged in a row on a first edge of the optically transmissive panel and the second set of white LEDs are arranged in a row on a second edge of the optically transmissive panel opposite the first edge of the optically transmissive panel. 4. The light fixture of claim 1, wherein at least a portion of the frame defines a second channel configured to support the first set of white LEDs and the second set of white LEDs. 5. The light fixture of claim 4, wherein the first set of white LEDs and the second set of white LEDs are supported by a wall of the second channel located at a second edge of the frame, wherein the wall of the second channel is offset from the second edge of the frame. 6. The light fixture of claim 1, wherein at least a portion of the frame is configured to support first electrical connectors between the driving circuitry and the first set of white LEDs and is configured to support second electrical connectors between the driving circuitry and the second set of white LEDs. 7. The light fixture of claim 1, wherein the driving circuitry selectively energizes the first set of white LEDs and the second set of white LEDs to provide one of the first light output of the first predetermined color temperature or the second light output of the second predetermined color temperature. 8. The light fixture of claim 1, wherein the driving circuitry comprises a first LED driver operatively coupled to the first set of white LEDs to selectively energize the first set of white LEDs, and a second LED driver operatively coupled to the second set of white LEDs to selectively energize the second set of white LEDs. 9. The light fixture of claim 8, wherein the first LED driver is configured to selectively power the first configuration of LEDs and the second LED driver is configured to selectively power the second configuration of LEDs, to provide one of the first light output of the first predetermined color temperature or the second light output of the second predetermined color temperature. 10. A light fixture comprising: a frame configured to define a first channel at an edge of the frame, wherein the frame has a thickness of no more than about 1.0 inches;a substantially flat light emitting diode (LED) panel disposed within the frame, comprising: a first set of white light emitting diodes (LEDs) having a first light output of a first predetermined color temperature;a second set of white light emitting diodes (LEDs) having a second light output of a second predetermined color temperature; andan optically transmissive panel, each of the first set of white LEDs and the second set of white LEDs being disposed adjacent one or more edge of the optically transmissive panel; anddriving circuitry disposed within the first channel at the edge of the frame, the driving circuitry being configured to electrically couple the substantially flat LED panel to an external AC power supply, the driving circuitry comprising a first LED driver operatively coupled to the first set of white LEDs to selectively energize the first set of white LEDs and a second LED driver operatively coupled to the second set of white LEDs to selectively energize the second set of white LEDs to provide one of the first light output of the first predetermined color temperature or the second light output of the second predetermined color temperature. 11. The light fixture of claim 10, wherein the driving circuitry is configured to convert an AC input into a DC output suitable for powering the substantially flat LED panel. 12. The light fixture of claim 10, wherein the first set of white LEDs and the second set of white LEDs are arranged in a single row in an alternating arrangement. 13. The light fixture of claim 10, wherein the first set of white LEDs are arranged in a row on a first edge of the optically transmissive panel and the second set of white LEDs are arranged in a row on a second edge of the optically transmissive panel opposite the first edge of the optically transmissive panel. 14. The light fixture of claim 10, wherein at least a portion of the frame defines a second channel configured to support the first set of white LEDs and the second set of white LEDs. 15. The light fixture of claim 14, wherein the first set of white LEDs and the second set of white LEDs are supported by a wall of the second channel located at a second edge of the frame, wherein the wall of the second channel is offset from the second edge of the frame. 16. A light fixture comprising: a frame configured to define a first channel, wherein the frame has a thickness of no more than about 1.0 inches;a substantially flat light emitting diode (LED) panel disposed within the frame and including an array of light emitting diodes (LEDs) supported by a wall of a second channel located at an edge of the frame, wherein the wall of the second channel is offset from the edge of the frame, wherein the array of LEDs comprises a first set of white light emitting diodes (LEDs) and a second set of white light emitting diodes (LEDs) arranged in a single row in an alternating arrangement, and wherein the first set of white LEDs has a first light output of a first predetermined color temperature and the second set of white LEDs has a second light output of a second predetermined color temperature different than the first predetermined color temperature; andLED driving circuitry disposed within the first channel, the LED driving circuitry being configured to electrically couple the substantially flat LED panel to an external AC power supply, wherein the driving circuitry selectively energizes the first set of white LEDs and the second set of white LEDs to provide a white light of a variable color temperature. 17. The light fixture of claim 16, wherein the driving circuitry is configured to convert an AC input into a DC output suitable for powering the substantially flat LED panel. 18. The light fixture of claim 16, wherein the driving circuitry selectively energizes the first set of white LEDs and the second set of white LEDs to provide one of the first light output of the first predetermined color temperature or the second light output of the second predetermined color temperature. 19. The light fixture of claim 16, wherein the driving circuitry comprises a first LED driver operatively coupled to the first set of white LEDs to selectively energize the first set of white LEDs, and a second LED driver operatively coupled to the second set of white LEDs to selectively energize the second set of white LEDs. 20. The light fixture of claim 19, wherein the first LED driver is configured to selectively power the first configuration of LEDs and the second LED driver is configured to selectively power the second configuration of LEDs, to provide one of the first light output of the first predetermined color temperature or the second light output of the second predetermined color temperature.
