A video source control assembly for use with at least a first display screen and a plurality of video source devices, the control assembly including a deck member forming a top surface and at least one cable passing opening, a switching device, a plurality of control cables, each control cable including first and second ends, each first end linkable to at least one source device and the second end linked to the switching device to provide video content thereto and a separate housing mounted to an intermediate portion of each of the control cables so that flexible portions of the associated control cable extend from the housing to each of the first and second ends, a separate selection button mounted in each of the housings that provides a control signal to the switching device causing the switching device to modify the content presented on the display screen, wherein, the portion of each cable between the housing and the second end passes through the cable passing opening and the housing has dimensions such that the housing is blocked from passing through the cable passing opening.

A video source control assembly for use with at least a first display screen and a plurality of video source devices, the control assembly comprising: a deck member forming a top surface, the top surface forming a plurality of cable passing openings;a switching device including at least a first output port linkable to the at least a first display screen and a plurality of input ports for receiving video content from linkable video source devices;a plurality of control cables, each control cable including first and second ends, each first end linkable to at least one of the source devices and the second end linked to the switching device via one of the input ports to provide video content thereto; anda separate housing mounted to an intermediate portion of each of the control cables between the first and second ends of an associated control cable so that flexible portions of the associated control cable extend from the housing to each of the first and second ends of the associated control cable, a separate selection button mounted in each of the housings that, upon selection, provides a control signal to the switching device causing the switching device to modify a content presented on the at least a first display screen;wherein, the portion of each cable between the housing and the second end passes through one of the cable passing openings and wherein the housing has dimensions such that the housing is blocked from passing through the cable passing opening; andwherein, each control cable is moveable between an extended position wherein an associated housing is pulled up and spaced from the deck member and a stowed position in which the associated housing rests on the deck member adjacent one of the cable passing openings. 2. The control assembly of claim 1 further including a separate illumination source mounted within each of the housings, each illumination source controlled to indicate control status of the switching device. 3. The control assembly of claim 2 wherein each illumination source is controlled to indicate at least first and second states in which the switching device de-links and links a source that is linked to an associated control cable to the at least a first display screen, respectively. 4. The control assembly of claim 3 wherein at least the first state is indicated by illuminating the illumination source. 5. The control assembly of claim 2 wherein at least one state of the switching device is indicated by turning off illumination of an illumination source. 6. The control assembly of claim 2 wherein the plurality of control cables include at least first and second control cables and wherein the switching device includes a processor programmed to perform the steps of: while content from a source device linked to the first control cable is being presented on the display screen and the illumination source associated with the first control cable is controlled to indicate the first state, receiving a control signal from a selection button associated with the second control cable, removing the content from the source device linked to the first control cable from the display screen and causing the illumination source associated with the first control cable to indicate the second state. 7. The control assembly of claim 1 further including a retractor assembly mounted below the deck member and including a separate pulley assembly for each of the control cables, each pulley assembly contacting an associated control cable at a height below the deck member and between the housing and the second end of the control cable and tending to pull the control cable into the stowed position. 8. The control assembly of claim 7 wherein the second end of the control cable is stationary and is secured proximate an undersurface of the deck member. 9. The control assembly of claim 7 wherein the retractor assembly forms a separate elongated channel for each one of the pulley assemblies and each pulley assembly includes a pulley mounted in the channel, the portion of the control cable associated with each pulley assembly between the housing and the second end linked to the pulley, the pulley moving along the channel as the control cable is pulled toward the stowed position. 10. The control assembly of claim 9 wherein each of the pulley assemblies is aligned with one of the cable passing openings formed by the deck member. 11. The assembly of claim 1 further including structural members that include internal surfaces that form a cavity about and at least partially above the top surface of the deck member, with the control cables in the stowed positions, the housings and the portions of the cables between the housings and the first ends receivable within the cavity. 12. The assembly of claim 11 further including at least a first cover member supported within a top opening of the cavity for movement between an open position in which the cavity is accessible and a closed position in which the top opening of the cavity is substantially blocked. 13. The assembly of claim 12 wherein the deck member forms a substantially horizontal central top surface, first and second angled intermediate surfaces and first and second recessed surfaces, the first and second recessed surfaces spaced on opposite sides of the central top surface and substantially parallel to the central top surface, the first angled intermediate surface located between and angled between the central top surface and the first recessed surface and the second angled intermediate surface located between and angled between the central top surface and the second recessed surface. 14. The assembly of claim 13 wherein power receptacles are mounted in openings formed in each of the first and second angled intermediate surfaces. 15. The assembly of claim 14 wherein each housing is cylindrical and wherein the selection button is mounted at a top end of the housing. 16. The assembly of claim 15 wherein a flat circular member forms the top end of the housing, the selection button formed in the flat circular member. 17. The assembly of claim 1 for use with at least a second display screen where the switching device includes at least a second output port linkable to the at least a second display screen, the selection button mounted in each housing being a first selection button, a second selection button mounted in each of the housings that, upon selection, provides a control signal to the switching device causing the switching device to modify a content presented on the at least a second display screen. 18. The assembly of claim 17 wherein the first and second switching devices are independently controllable to present and remove content provided by a source device linked to an associated cable on the first and second display screens, respectively. 19. The assembly of claim 18 further including first and second separate illumination sources mounted in each of the housings that are associated with the first and second display screens, the first illumination source controllable to indicate at least first and second different states when content from a source device linked to an associated control cable is presented on and not presented on the first display screen and the second illumination source controllable to indicate at least first and second different states when content from a source device linked to an associated control cable is presented on and not presented on the second display screen, respectively. 20. The control assembly of claim 19 wherein the plurality of control cables include at least first and second control cables and wherein the switching device includes a processor programmed to perform the steps of: while content from a source device linked to the first control cable is being presented on the first display screen and the first illumination source associated with the first control cable is controlled to indicate the first state, receiving a control signal from the first selection button associated with the second control cable, removing the content from the source device linked to the first control cable from the first display screen and causing the first illumination source associated with the first control cable to indicate the second state. 21. A video source control assembly for use with at least a first display screen and a plurality of source devices including at least a first source device, the control assembly comprising: a switching device including at least a first output port linkable to the at least a first display screen and a plurality of inputs for receiving video content from source devices;a plurality of control cables, each control cable including first and second ends, each first end linkable to at least one of the source devices and the second end operatively linked to the switching device to provide video content thereto; anda separate selection button mounted to an intermediate portion of each of the control cables that, upon selection, provides a control signal to the switching device causing the switching device to modify a content presented on the at least a first display screen, each selection button including a separate illumination source, each illumination source controlled to indicate at least first and second different states in which content from an associated source device is presented on the at least a first display screen and is not presented on the at least a first display screen, respectively. 22. The control assembly of claim 21 further including a deck member forming a top surface, the top surface forming a plurality of cable passing openings, each control cable passing through one of the cable passing openings, the deck member including structure for mounting the deck member to an undersurface of a table top below an opening formed by the table top, the first ends of the control cables located above the top surface of the deck member upon installation. 23. The assembly of claim 21 wherein each selection button includes a top button selection surface and each illumination source includes a ring about the button selection surface that illuminates to indicate at least the first state. 24. The assembly of claim 21 wherein the switching device includes a processor programmed to perform the steps of: while content from the first control cable is being presented on the display screen and the illumination source associated with the first control cable is controlled to indicate the first state, receiving a control signal from the selection button associated with the second control cable, removing the content from the first control cable from the display screen and causing the illumination source associated with the first control cable to indicate the second state. 25. The assembly of claim 24 wherein the processor is further programmed to perform the steps of: while content from the first control cable is being presented on the display screen and the illumination source associated with the first control cable is controlled to indicate the first state, upon receiving the control signal from the selection button associated with the second control cable, presenting a content from the second control cable on the display screen and causing the illumination source associated with the second control cable to indicate the first state. 26. A video source control assembly for use with at least a first display screen and a plurality of video source devices, the control assembly comprising: a deck member forming a top surface, the top surface forming a plurality of cable passing openings;a switching device including at least a first output port linkable to the at least a first display screen and a plurality of input ports for receiving video content from linkable video source devices;a plurality of control cables including at least first and second control cables, each control cable including first and second ends, each first end linkable to at least one of the source devices and the second end linked to the switching device via one of the inputs to provide video content thereto; anda separate housing mounted to an intermediate portion of each of the control cables between the first and second ends of an associated control cable so that flexible portions of the associated control cable extend from the housing to each of the first and second ends of the associated control cable, a separate selection button supported by each of the housings that, upon selection, provides a control signal to the switching device causing the switching device to modify a content presented on the at least a first display screen, each selection button including a separate illumination source, each illumination source controlled to indicate at least first and second different states in which content from an associated source device is presented on the at least a first display screen and is not presented on the at least a first display screen, respectively;wherein, the portion of each cable between the housing and the second end passes through one of the cable passing openings and wherein the housing has dimensions such that the housing is blocked from passing through the cable passing opening; andwherein, each control cable is moveable between an extended position wherein an associated housing is pulled up and spaced from the deck member and a stowed position in which the associated housing rests on the deck member adjacent one of the cable passing openings. 27. The control assembly of claim 26 further including a retractor assembly including a plurality of structural members, a separate pulley for each of the control cables and a separate mechanism for applying a force to each of the pulleys, the structural members forming a separate elongated channel for each of the control cables, each elongated channel having first and second ends, each pulley located within a separate one of the channels and each mechanism for applying a force located in one of the channels and contacting the pulley in the channel to apply a force thereto tending to move the pulley in a direction from the first end to the second end of the channel, an intermediate portion of each control cable between the first and second ends contacting one of the pulleys, the first and second ends of each cable extending from the first end of an associated channel. 28. The assembly of claim 26 further comprising a processor, wherein the processor is further programmed to perform the steps of: while content from the first control cable is being presented on the display screen and the illumination source associated with the first control cable is controlled to indicate the first state, upon receiving the control signal from the selection button associated with the second control cable, presenting a content from the second control cable on the display screen and causing the illumination source associated with the second control cable to indicate the first state. 29. The assembly of claim 26 for use with at least a second display screen where the switching device includes at least a second output port linkable to the at least a second display screen, the selection button mounted in each housing being a first selection button, a second selection button mounted in each of the housings that, upon selection, provides a control signal to the switching device causing the switching device to modify a content presented on the at least a second display screen, the first and second switching devices independently controllable to present and remove content provided by a source device linked to an associated cable on the first and second display screens, respectively. 30. A video source control assembly for use with at least a first display screen and a plurality of video source devices, the control assembly comprising: a switching device including at least a first output port linkable to the at least a first display screen and at least one input port for receiving video content from linkable video source devices; anda plurality of mechanical interface devices, each interface device including a housing and a selection button mounted within the housing, each interface device also including a flexible cable member extending from the housing with a plug at a distal end that is receivable within an outlet port of a video source device, each interface device further including a light device capable of indicating at least first and second states when content from a linked video source device is presented on the first display screen and when content from a linked video source is not presented on the first display screen, the switching device receiving content from at least one of the video source devices and controlling content on the display screen as well as the states indicated by the light devices as a function of selection of the selection buttons.
