The tonneau cover latching mechanism according to claim 5, wherein the lock cylinder is slideably and rotatably held by the lock receiver. 7. The tonneau cover latching mechanism according to claim 6, wherein the lock cylinder slides forward in the lock receiver as a user pulls on the handle to translate a pulling force applied by a user to the handle into a rotational force that rotates the rods to disengage the rods from the strikers. 8.
