The surgical instrument of claim 1, wherein the handle assembly comprises: a saddle surface on a proximate portion of the fixed handle portion adjacent the body portion, the saddle surface for receiving a hand at a web portion of the hand between a thumb and an index finger of the hand; anda contact surface below the saddle surface configured to be received in a palm of the hand, wherein the contact surface defines a convex curvature extending proximally from the fixed handle portion. 5. The surgical instrument of claim 4, wherein the removable handle portion is positioned over the fixed handle portion to change a radius of the convex curvature of the contact surface. 6. The surgical instrument of claim 1, wherein a ratio of the first length over the second length is equal to about 1.25. 7. The surgical instrument of claim 1, wherein the first length is about 2.5 inches. 8. The surgical instrument of claim 1, wherein a distance between the proximal trigger portion and the distal trigger hook is at least about 0.65 inches. 9. The surgical instrument of claim 1, wherein the proximal trigger portion defines a distally-facing surface configured to receive three fingers. 10. The surgical instrument of claim 1, wherein the stabilization tail comprises an upward-facing concave surface for receiving the ultrasonic transducer, and wherein a curvature of at least a portion of the upward-facing concave surface is centered on the longitudinal axis. 11. The surgical instrument of claim 1, wherein the removable handle portion further comprises a post positioned to align the removable handle portion with the fixed handle portion, wherein the post is located at a first region of the removable handle portion, and wherein the snap feature is located on a second region of the removable handle portion opposite the first region. 12. The surgical instrument of claim 1, wherein the trigger is configured to rotate relative to the fixed handle portion. 13. The surgical instrument of claim 1, wherein the distally-facing surface and the proximally-facing surface are substantially parallel and wherein the distally-facing surface and the proximally-facing surface are slanted distally when the trigger is in an open position and slanted proximally when the trigger is in a closed position. 14. A surgical instrument, comprising: a handle assembly, comprising: a body portion extending parallel to longitudinal axis;a fixed handle portion interfaced with the body portion and extending downwardly from the body portion and away from the longitudinal axis;a stabilization tail, wherein the stabilization tail is positioned at about an intersection of the body portion and the fixed handle portion, the stabilization tail extending proximally from the body portion; anda removable handle portion, comprising: a snap feature positioned to snap into an opening of the fixed handle portion to removably couple the removable handle portion to the fixed handle portion; anda loop element positioned proximally from the fixed handle portion, wherein the loop element comprises a tail portion that defines a cavity to receive the stabilization tail;a shaft extending distally from the handle assembly about the longitudinal axis;a trigger coupled to the handle assembly and alternately actuatable in a substantially proximal direction relative to the handle assembly from an open position to a closed position and in a substantially distal direction relative to the handle assembly from the closed position to the open position, wherein the trigger comprises: a proximal member extending downwardly from the body portion by a first distance, wherein the proximal member comprises a distally-facing surface configured to receive three fingers and extending for at least part of the first distance; anda distal member extending downwardly from the body portion by a second distance, wherein the distal member comprises a proximally-facing surface extending for at least part of the second distance, wherein the second distance is less than the first distance, and wherein the proximal member and the distal member define an aperture;an actuation switch positioned upwardly from the trigger, wherein the actuation switch is actuatable in a substantially proximal direction; anda shaft rotation knob for rotating a shaft of the surgical instrument about the longitudinal axis, wherein the shaft rotation knob is positioned to rotate about the longitudinal axis. 15.
