The apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the adhesive includes: a first layer of material that accommodates a bond with the base; anda second layer of material that accommodates a bond with a membrane, the second layer of material being non-destructive to the membrane. 4. The apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the adhesive is a double-sided tape. 5. The apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the distal end of the post further includes a visual indicator via which the height position of the cap with respect to the post is determinable. 6. The apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the distal end of the post further includes a visual indicator via which a height of the apparatus is determinable and adjustable. 7. A screed hardware apparatus, comprising: a removably attachable cap, the cap being a grade marker cap having an upper surface that is planar across substantially an entirety thereof;a post having a distal end that includes a threaded surface to connect the cap directly to the post and via which a position of the cap is adjustable with respect to the post; anda peel-and-stick mounting base having a first side to which a base end of the post is mountable via a post holder, anda second side including an adhesive thereon and a peelable sheet covering the adhesive,wherein a width dimension of the base end of the post is greater than a correspondingly shaped width dimension of the post holder with which the post engages such that an outer surface of the post encounters frictional force upon insertion into the base, the post being detachable from the base after fastening the base to a surface for use,wherein the upper surface of the cap is a horizontally-oriented surface opposite a side of the cap on which the post is attachable to the cap, and the upper surface extends radially outward from a central axis of the cap, andwherein the central axis of the cap is collinear with an axis of the post when the cap is attached to the post. 8. The apparatus according to claim 7, wherein the cap engages the distal end of the post at variable heights. 9. The apparatus according to claim 8, wherein the position of the cap with respect to the post is adjustable via rotation of the cap on the post. 10. A kit for hardware used in screeding, comprising: a post;a mounting base having a post mount to receive the post via a frictional interference fit, where a width dimension of the post is greater than a correspondingly shaped width dimension of the post mount such that an outer surface of the post encounters frictional force upon insertion into the base, the post being detachable from the base after fastening the base to a surface for use;an adhesive having a peelable sheet covering the adhesive, the adhesive being attachable to the mounting base; anda grade marker cap having a substantially planar top surface, the cap being configured to removably attach directly to the post via a threaded surface of the distal end of the post, and a position of the cap with respect to the post being adjustable via rotation of the cap when engaged with the threaded surface of the post,wherein the top surface of the cap is a horizontally-oriented surface opposite a side of the cap on which the post is attachable to the cap, and the upper surface extends radially outward from a central axis of the cap, andwherein the central axis of the cap is collinear with an axis of the post when the cap is attached to the post. 17. The kit according to claim 16, further comprising a clamping bracket including a quick release clamp sized to fit around the post; anda brace connected to the clamp, the brace being sized to accommodate a beam or rail therein. 18. An apparatus, comprising: a base including a post mount portion, anda fastener portion for securing the apparatus to a surface;a post having a distal end and a base end, the base end of the post having a smooth continuous surface and being attachable to and detachable from the post mount portion via a frictional interference fit, where a width dimension of the post is greater than a correspondingly shaped width dimension of the post mount portion with which the post engages such that an outer surface of the post encounters frictional force upon insertion into the base, and the post being detachable from the base after fastening the base to a surface for use; anda cap configured to removably attach directly to a threaded surface on the distal end of the post, the cap being a grade marker cap having an upper surface that is planar across substantially an entirety thereof,wherein the upper surface of the cap is a horizontally-oriented surface opposite a side of the cap on which the post is attachable to the cap, and the upper surface extends radially outward from a central axis of the cap,wherein the central axis of the cap is collinear with an axis of the post when the cap is attached to the post, andwherein a position of the cap with respect to the post is adjustable via rotation of the cap on the threaded surface of the distal end of the post. 20.
