A fastener cartridge assembly, comprising: a cartridge body, comprising: a deck; anda plurality of fastener cavities, wherein each said fastener cavity includes an opening in said deck;a plurality of fasteners, wherein each said fastener is at least partially stored within a said fastener cavity; anda firing member movable between a first position and a fired position to completely eject said fasteners from said fastener cavities, wherein said firing member comprises a ramp configured to directly lift each said fastener between an unlifted position and a lifted position, and wherein said ramp comprises an apex which extends above said openings;wherein said plurality of fastener cavities are arranged in a longitudinal row, wherein said cartridge body further comprises a longitudinal ramp slot, and wherein said ramp is configured to slide within said longitudinal ramp slot;wherein said longitudinal ramp slot is in communication with said fastener cavities in said longitudinal row, and wherein said ramp is configured to slide through said fastener cavities when sliding through said longitudinal ramp slot; andwherein said cartridge body further comprises a plurality of arches extending over said longitudinal ramp slot, and wherein said apex is configured to slide under said arches. 7. The fastener cartridge assembly of claim 6, wherein said arches are positioned intermediate said fastener cavities in said longitudinal row. 8.
