The method of claim 1, wherein said delivering comprises transmitting the selected program recording over a network interconnecting a processor at the third location with at least one of the application service provider and a processor at the fourth location. 3. The method of claim 1, wherein said delivering comprises delivering the selected program recorded on an optical or magnetic storage medium. 4. The method of claim 1, wherein said providing the program recording comprises recording the program recording to be received on a recording device. 5. The method of claim 4, wherein the recording device is provided at the fourth location. 6. The method of claim 1, further comprising providing additional locations different from the second location of the user processor, the first location of the application service provider, the third location, and the fourth location, wherein each of the additional locations is configured for selection to provide the selected program recording. 7. The method of claim 1, wherein the selected program recording is an audio program. 8. The method of claim 1, wherein the selected program recording comprises a video program. 9. The method of claim 8, wherein the video program includes audio programming. 10. The method of claim 1, wherein said delivering comprises transmitting the selected program recording over the Internet. 11. A method of providing a program recording to a user, said method comprising: accessing an application service provider that includes a program database via a first connection over a network with a user processor;selecting, with the user processor, a program recording to be received;selecting, with the user processor, at least one location to which the program is to be delivered, wherein said selecting is from locations including at least two locations remote from one another and remote from the application service provider, and wherein said at least two locations may, but need not, include the location of the user processor;providing the selected program recording at a location of the application service provider or a third location different from the location of the application service provider, the location of the user processor, and the at least two locations; anddelivering the selected program recording to the at least one location. 12. The method of claim 11, wherein said delivering comprises transmitting the selected program recording over a network interconnecting the application service provider or the third location with at least one processor at the at least one location. 13. The method of claim 11, wherein said delivering comprises delivering the selected program recorded on an optical or magnetic storage medium from the third location to the at least one location. 14. The method of claim 11, wherein said delivering comprises transmitting the selected program recording over the Internet. 15. A method of delivering a program recording from an application service provider, said method comprising; accessing, with processor circuitry in a user device, an application service provider that includes a program database via a first connection over a network;selecting, with the processor circuitry, the program recording to be delivered;selecting, with the processor circuitry, at least one destination to which the program recording is to be delivered, wherein said selecting at least one destination includes selecting from a plurality of destinations that include at least two destinations that are remote from one another and remote from the program database, and wherein said at least two destinations may, but need not, include a location of the processor circuitry;providing the selected program recording at a location of the application service provider or a third location different from the location of the application service provider, the location of the processor circuitry and the at least two destinations; anddelivering the selected program recording to the at least one destination. 16. The method of claim 15, wherein said delivering comprises transmitting the selected program recording over a network interconnecting the application service provider or the third location with at least one processor at the at least one destination. 17. The method of claim 16, wherein the network interconnecting the application service provider or the third location with at least one processor circuitry at the at least one destination is a local area network. 18. The method of claim 15, wherein said delivering comprises delivering the selected program recording on an optical or magnetic storage medium from the third location to the at least one destination. 19. The method of claim 15, wherein said delivering the selected program recording includes delivering the selected program recording over a communication path, at least a portion of which includes a public network. 20. The method of claim 19, wherein said delivering the selected program recording includes delivering the selected program recording over the Internet.
