The compartmentalized box of claim 1, wherein the first housing portion and the second housing portion are both constructed of weatherproof, durable material, the material being one of plastic and metal. 3. The compartmentalized box of claim 1, wherein the first housing portion or the second housing portion is configured to be attached or mounted to a utility pole and/or a residential or commercial building. 4. A compartmentalized box for housing components for telecommunications systems, comprising: a first housing portion;a second housing portion coupled to the first housing portion, the first housing portion and the second housing portion cooperating to define an enclosure having a cavity, the second housing portion being pivotally movable relative to the first housing portion between an open configuration providing access to the cavity and a closed configuration preventing access to the cavity;a fiber optic converter mounted to the first housing portion, the fiber optic converter being configured to receive fiber optic signals via a fiber optic cable that enters the cavity from an exterior of the compartmentalized box through an opening in the first housing portion and convert the fiber optic signals to RF signals;a perimeter-matching compartment panel disposed in the cavity and being pivotally coupled to the first housing portion, the compartment panel being pivotally movable relative to the first housing portion between a closed position and an open position, wherein when the compartment panel is in the closed position: (i) the compartment panel divides the cavity into a first compartment and a second compartment, (ii) the dimensions of the first compartment are delimited by the plurality of side walls of the first housing portion, the compartment panel, and the back wall of the first housing portion or a base member mounted to the back wall of the first housing portion, (iii) the edges of the compartment panel are configured to be adjacent to the side walls so that there is no gap between the compartment panel and the first housing portion so as to prevent access to the first compartment; andan RF system component mounted to the compartment panel, the RF system component being configured to output RF signals via a first RF cable that passes through an opening in the first housing portion to the exterior of the compartmentalized box, the RF system component being accessible to a user when the first housing portion and the second housing portion are in the open configuration, wherein the compartment panel includes an opening on an outer edge of the compartment panel that is configured to receive a second RF cable that carries signals from the fiber optic converter to the RF system component, the compartment panel being configured such that the RF cable remains coupled with the fiber optic converter and the RF system component as the compartment panel is pivoted between the closed position and the open position,when the first housing portion and the second housing portion are in the open configuration and the compartment panel is in the closed position, the compartment panel divides the cavity into a first compartment and a second compartment such that the first compartment and the RF system component are accessible to the user and the second compartment is closed to block access to the second compartment and fiber optic converter, andwhen the first housing portion and the second housing portion are in the open configuration and the compartment panel is in the open position, the second compartment and the fiber optic converter are accessible to the user. 5. The compartmentalized box of claim 4, wherein the first housing portion and the second housing portion are both constructed of weatherproof, durable material, the material being one of plastic and metal. 6. The compartmentalized box of claim 4, wherein the first housing portion or the second housing portion is configured to be attached or mounted to a utility pole and/or a residential or commercial building. 7. The compartmentalized box of claim 1, wherein the first compartment includes a base member configured to mount the fiber optic converter to the back wall or to one of the plurality of side walls of the first housing portion. 8. The compartmentalized box of claim 7, wherein the base member includes a pair of columns that extend in a direction from the back wall of the first housing portion toward the second housing portion. 9. The compartmentalized box of claim 8, wherein the pivot axis of the compartment panel extends between the columns in a direction parallel with one of the plurality of walls of the first housing portion. 10. The compartmentalized box of claim 9, wherein the RF system component is mounted to a face surface of the compartment panel, and the pivot axis is offset from a plane of the face surface in a direction toward the back wall of the first housing portion. 11. The compartmentalized box of claim 9, wherein the opening in the compartment panel is at the end of the compartment panel adjacent the pivot axis. 12. The compartmentalized box of claim 9, wherein the opening in the compartment panel is between the columns in the direction of the pivot axis. 13. The compartmentalized box of claim 4, wherein the first compartment includes a base member configured to mount the fiber optic converter to the back wall or to one of the plurality of side walls of the first housing portion. 14. The compartmentalized box of claim 13, wherein the base member includes a pair of columns that extend in a direction from the back wall of the first housing portion toward the second housing portion. 15. The compartmentalized box of claim 14, wherein the pivot axis of the compartment panel extends between the columns in a direction parallel with one of the plurality of walls of the first housing portion. 16. The compartmentalized box of claim 15, wherein the RF system component is mounted to a face surface of the compartment panel, and the pivot axis is offset from a plane of the face surface in a direction toward the back wall of the first housing portion. 17. The compartmentalized box of claim 15, wherein the opening in the compartment panel is at the end of the compartment panel adjacent the pivot axis. 18. The compartmentalized box of claim 15, wherein the opening in the compartment panel is between the columns in the direction of the pivot axis. 19. A compartmentalized box for housing components for telecommunications systems, comprising: a first housing portion having a back wall and a plurality of side walls extending from the back wall;a second housing portion coupled to the first housing portion, the first housing portion and the second housing portion cooperating to define an enclosure having a cavity, the second housing portion being movable relative to the first housing portion between an open configuration providing access to the cavity and a closed configuration preventing access to the cavity; anda perimeter-matching compartment panel disposed in the cavity and being coupled to the first housing portion, the compartment panel being movable relative to the first housing portion between a closed position and an open position, wherein when the compartment panel is in the closed position: (i) the compartment panel divides the cavity into a first compartment and a second compartment, (ii) the dimensions of the first compartment are delimited by the plurality of side walls of the first housing portion, the compartment panel, and the back wall of the first housing portion or a base member mounted to the back wall of the first housing portion, (iii) the edges of the compartment panel are configured to be adjacent to the side walls so that there is no gap between the compartment panel and the first housing portion so as to prevent access to the first compartment. 20. A compartmentalized box for housing components for telecommunications systems, comprising: a first housing portion having a back wall and a plurality of side walls extending from the back wall;a second housing portion coupled to the first housing portion, the first housing portion and the second housing portion cooperating to define an enclosure having a cavity, the second housing portion being movable relative to the first housing portion between an open configuration providing access to the cavity and a closed configuration preventing access to the cavity;a compartment panel disposed in the cavity and being coupled to the first housing portion, the compartment panel being movable relative to the first housing portion between a closed position and an open position, wherein when the compartment panel is in the closed position: (i) the compartment panel divides the cavity into a first compartment and a second compartment, (ii) the dimensions of the first compartment are delimited by the plurality of side walls of the first housing portion, the compartment panel, and the back wall of the first housing portion or a base member mounted to the back wall of the first housing portion, and (iii) the edges of the compartment panel are configured to be adjacent to at least some of the side walls in order to minimize the gap between the compartment panel and the first housing portion so as to prevent access to the first compartment;a fiber optic converter disposed in the first compartment when the compartment panel is in the closed position, the fiber optic converter being configured to convert fiber optic signals to RF signals; andan RF system component disposed in the second compartment when the compartment panel is in the closed position, the RF system component being mounted to and movable with the compartment panel, whereinthe first housing portion has an opening configured to accommodate passage of a fiber optic cable from an exterior of the telecommunication box to the fiber optic converter in the first compartment of the cavity,the compartment panel has an opening at a first end thereof, the first end of the compartment panel being adjacent to a first one of the plurality of side walls of the first housing portion, the opening in the compartment panel being configured to accommodate passage of a first RF cable from the fiber optic converter in the first compartment to the RF component in the second compartment,the first one of the plurality of side walls of the first housing portion includes at least one additional opening configured to accommodate passage of a second RF cable from the RF component to the exterior of the communication box,when the first housing portion and the second housing portion are in the open configuration and the compartment panel is in the open position, the fiber optic converter in the first compartment is accessible to the user, andthe compartment panel is pivotable between the closed position and the open position, the compartment panel being pivotable about an axis that extends parallel with the first one of the plurality of side walls such that the first RF cable and the second RF cable remain connected to the RF system component as the compartment panel is pivoted between the closed position and the open position, and the second cable remains connected to the fiber optic converter as the compartment panel is pivoted between the closed position and the open position. 21. A compartmentalized box for housing components for telecommunications systems, comprising: a first housing portion;a second housing portion coupled to the first housing portion, the first housing portion and the second housing portion cooperating to define an enclosure having a cavity, the second housing portion being pivotally movable relative to the first housing portion between an open configuration providing access to the cavity and a closed configuration preventing access to the cavity;a fiber optic converter mounted to the first housing portion, the fiber optic converter being configured to receive fiber optic signals via a fiber optic cable that enters the cavity from an exterior of the compartmentalized box through an opening in the first housing portion and convert the fiber optic signals to RF signals;a compartment panel disposed in the cavity and being pivotally coupled to the first housing portion, the compartment panel being pivotally movable relative to the first housing portion between a closed position and an open position, wherein when the compartment panel is in the closed position: (i) the compartment panel divides the cavity into a first compartment and a second compartment, (ii) the dimensions of the first compartment are delimited by the plurality of side walls of the first housing portion, the compartment panel, and the back wall of the first housing portion or a base member mounted to the back wall of the first housing portion, and (iii) the edges of the compartment panel are configured to be adjacent to at least some of the side walls in order to minimize the gap between the compartment panel and the first housing portion so as to prevent access to the first compartment; andan RF system component mounted to the compartment panel, the RF system component being configured to output RF signals via a first RF cable that passes through an opening in the first housing portion to the exterior of the compartmentalized box, the RF system component being accessible to a user when the first housing portion and the second housing portion are in the open configuration, wherein the compartment panel includes an opening on an outer edge of the compartment panel that is configured to receive a second RF cable that carries signals from the fiber optic converter to the RF system component, the compartment panel being configured such that the RF cable remains coupled with the fiber optic converter and the RF system component as the compartment panel is pivoted between the closed position and the open position,when the first housing portion and the second housing portion are in the open configuration and the compartment panel is in the closed position, the compartment panel divides the cavity into a first compartment and a second compartment such that the first compartment and the RF system component are accessible to the user and the second compartment is closed to block access to the second compartment and fiber optic converter, andwhen the first housing portion and the second housing portion are in the open configuration and the compartment panel is in the open position, the second compartment and the fiber optic converter are accessible to the user. 22. A compartmentalized box for housing components for telecommunications systems, comprising: a first housing portion having a back wall and a plurality of side walls extending from the back wall;a second housing portion coupled to the first housing portion, the first housing portion and the second housing portion cooperating to define an enclosure having a cavity, the second housing portion being movable relative to the first housing portion between an open configuration providing access to the cavity and a closed configuration preventing access to the cavity; anda compartment panel disposed in the cavity and being coupled to the first housing portion, the compartment panel being movable relative to the first housing portion between a closed position and an open position, wherein when the compartment panel is in the closed position: (i) the compartment panel divides the cavity into a first compartment and a second compartment, (ii) the dimensions of the first compartment are delimited by the plurality of side walls of the first housing portion, the compartment panel, and the back wall of the first housing portion or a base member mounted to the back wall of the first housing portion, and (iii) the edges of the compartment panel are configured to be adjacent to at least some of the side walls in order to minimize the gap between the compartment panel and the first housing portion so as to prevent access to the first compartment. 23. The compartmentalized box of claim 19, further comprising fiber cables that carry the fiber signal, wherein the fiber optic converter is disposed in the center of the back wall of the first housing portion, andthe fiber cables wrap around at least three quarters of the fiber optic converter within the first compartment. 24. The compartmentalized box of claim 22, further comprising fiber cables that carry the fiber signal, wherein the fiber optic converter is disposed in the center of the back wall of the first housing portion, andthe fiber cables wrap around at least three quarters of the fiber optic converter within the first compartment. 25. The compartmentalized box of claim 19, further comprising wrap guides extending from the back wall or the base member mounted to the back wall so as to control the bend radius of the fiber cables stored in the first compartment. 26. The compartmentalized box of claim 22, further comprising wrap guides extending from the back wall or the base member mounted to the back wall so as to control the bend radius of the fiber cables stored in the first compartment. 27. The compartmentalized box of claim 19, wherein the pivot axis of the compartment panel is offset from the face surface of the compartment panel to allow: (i) the RF cable, which is an input cable, to bend freely from one side of the compartment panel to the other side of the compartment panel, and (ii) signal splitting RF cables that exit from the RF system component to remain connected to the RF system component and exit through apertures in the first housing portion, when the compartment panel pivots from the closed position to the open position. 28. The compartmentalized box of claim 22, wherein the pivot axis of the compartment panel is offset from the face surface of the compartment panel to allow: (i) the RF cable, which is an input cable, to bend freely from one side of the compartment panel to the other side of the compartment panel, and (ii) signal splitting RF cables that exit from the RF system component to remain connected to the RF system component and exit through apertures in the first housing portion, when the compartment panel pivots from the closed position to the open position. 29. The compartmentalized box of claim 19, wherein the first housing portion includes a plurality of openings each configured to accommodate passage of one of the signal splitting RF cables from inside of the first compartment to outside of the compartmentalized box, andthe plurality of openings are provided on the same sidewall of the first housing portion as the opening configured to accommodate passage of the fiber optic cable. 30. The compartmentalized box of claim 22, wherein the first housing portion includes a plurality of openings each configured to accommodate passage of one of the signal splitting RF cables from inside of the first compartment to outside of the compartmentalized box, andthe plurality of openings are provided on the same sidewall of the first housing portion as the opening configured to accommodate passage of the fiber optic cable. 31. A compartmentalized enclosure for controlling access to different components in a telecommunications system comprising: a lower housing member shaped to define an outer perimeter portion and a cavity;an upper housing member configured to move between a closed housing position, where the upper housing member prevents access to the cavity, and an open housing position, where the upper housing member permits access to the cavity;a panel member configured to move between a closed panel position, where the panel member prevents access to the cavity, and an open panel position, where the panel member permits access to the cavity, wherein the panel member is disposed in the cavity of the lower housing member, and is shaped to define a inner perimeter portion that is configured to substantially match and fit within the outer perimeter portion of the lower housing member so as to form a substantially perimeter matching portion that prevents access to the cavity between the inner perimeter portion and the outer perimeter portion when the panel member is in the closed position. 32. The compartmentalized enclosure of claim 31, wherein the outer perimeter portion has an outer rectangular shape, and the inner perimeter portion has an inner rectangular shape that matches and fits within the outer rectangular shape so as to form a rectangular perimeter matching portion so as to prevent access to the cavity between the inner perimeter portion and the outer perimeter portion when the panel member is in the closed position.
