A sports board comprising: at least one layer;a first component disposed at least partially within a first portion of said at least one layer;a second component disposed at least partially within a second portion of said at least one layer;a third component coupled with said at least one layer, wherein said third component is configured to independently control said first component and said second component to implement a plurality of configurations of said sports board; andat least one signal transfer component coupled with said at least one layer, wherein said at least one signal transfer component is configured to transfer power with at least one object, wherein said at least one object is separate from said sports board. 2. The sports board of claim 1, wherein each object of said at least one object is selected from a group consisting of a binding, a boot, and a shoe. 3. The sports board of claim 1, wherein each object of said at least one object is selected from a group consisting of clothing, protective gear, a watch, a configuration component, and a charger separate from said sports board. 4. The sports board of claim 1, wherein each signal transfer component of said at least one signal transfer component is selected from a group consisting of at least one electrical contact and at least one coil. 5. The sports board of claim 1, wherein said at least one signal transfer component is configured to implement an interface with at least one signal transfer component of said at least one object, wherein said at least one signal transfer component is configured to transfer power over said interface, and wherein said interface is selected from a group consisting of a wired interface, an inductive interface, and a wireless interface. 6. The sports board of claim 1, wherein said at least one signal transfer component is configured to transfer a signal selected from a group consisting of a data signal, a clock signal, and a control signal. 7. The sports board of claim 1, wherein said at least one signal transfer component is disposed at least partially within a third portion of said at least one layer, and wherein said third portion is configured to couple said at least one object with said sports board. 8. The sports board of claim 7 further comprising: an element disposed at least partially within said third portion, wherein said element is selected from a group consisting of a threaded insert and a fastener, andwherein said third portion is configured to couple said at least one object with said sports board using said element. 9. The sports board of claim 1, wherein said at least one signal transfer component is configured to supply power received from said at least one object to an element of said sports board, and wherein said element is selected from a group consisting of said first component, said second component, said third component, a power source of said sports board, a monitoring component of said sports board, an information determination component of said sports board, a communication interface of said sports board, a processor of said sports board, a memory of said sports board, a removable storage of said sports board, a non-removable storage of said sports board, a graphics processor of said sports board, a frame buffer of said sports board, an input component of said sports board, and an output component of said sports board. 10. The sports board of claim 9, wherein said power source is selected from a group consisting of at least one battery, at least one capacitor, and at least one ultracapacitor. 11. The sports board of claim 1, wherein said at least one signal transfer component is configured to supply power received from an element of said sports board to said at least one object, wherein said element is selected from a group consisting of at least one battery, at least one capacitor, at least one ultracapacitor, and at least one solar cell. 12. The sports board of claim 1 further comprising: at least one conductive element disposed within said at least one layer, wherein said at least one conductive element is electrically coupled to said at least one signal transfer component, and wherein said at least one conductive element is selected from a group consisting of a trace and a wire. 13. The sports board of claim 1 further comprising: a communication interface coupled with said at least one layer, wherein said communication interface is configured to communicate data over an interface, wherein said interface is selected from a group consisting of a wired interface and a wireless interface, and wherein said data is selected from a group consisting of: a measured value of a property of said at least one layer; a measured value of an attribute of at least one component selected from a group consisting of said first component and said second component; a location of said sports board; a speed of said sports board; an acceleration of said sports board; an altitude of said sports board; an orientation of said sports board; an attitude of said sports board; a voltage of a power source of said sports board; and a functional state of at least one component of said sports board. 14. A system comprising: a sports board including: at least one layer;a first component disposed at least partially within a first portion of said at least one layer;a second component disposed at least partially within a second portion of said at least one layer;a third component coupled with said at least one layer, wherein said third component is configured to independently control said first component and said second component to implement a plurality of configurations of said sports board; andat least one signal transfer component coupled with said at least one layer, andat least one object separate from said sports board, wherein said at least one object includes at least one other signal transfer component, andwherein said at least one signal transfer component and said at least one other signal transfer component are configured to transfer power between said sports board and said at least one object. 15. The system of claim 14, wherein each object of said at least one object is selected from a group consisting of a binding, a boot, and a shoe. 16. The system of claim 14, wherein each object of said at least one object is selected from a group consisting of clothing, protective gear, a watch, a configuration component, and a charger separate from said sports board. 17. The system of claim 14, wherein each signal transfer component of said at least one signal transfer component and said at least one other signal transfer component is selected from a group consisting of at least one electrical contact and at least one coil. 18. The system of claim 14, wherein said at least one signal transfer component and said at least one other signal transfer component are configured to implement an interface, wherein said at least one signal transfer component and said at least one other signal transfer component are configured to transfer power over said interface, and wherein said interface is selected from a group consisting of a wired interface, an inductive interface, and a wireless interface. 19. The system of claim 14, wherein said at least one signal transfer component and said at least one other signal transfer component are configured to transfer a signal selected from a group consisting of a data signal, a clock signal, and a control signal. 20. The system of claim 14, wherein said at least one signal transfer component is disposed at least partially within a third portion of said at least one layer, and wherein said third portion is configured to couple said at least one object with said sports board. 21. The system of claim 20, wherein said sports board further includes: an element disposed at least partially within said third portion, wherein said element is selected from a group consisting of a threaded insert and a fastener, andwherein said third portion is configured to couple said at least one object with said sports board using said element. 22. The system of claim 14, wherein said at least one signal transfer component is configured to supply power received from said at least one other signal transfer component to an element of said sports board, and wherein said element is selected from a group consisting of said first component, said second component, said third component, a power source of said sports board, a monitoring component of said sports board, an information determination component of said sports board, a communication interface of said sports board, a processor of said sports board, a memory of said sports board, a removable storage of said sports board, a non-removable storage of said sports board, a graphics processor of said sports board, a frame buffer of said sports board, an input component of said sports board, and an output component of said sports board. 23. The system of claim 22, wherein said power source is selected from a group consisting of at least one battery, at least one capacitor, and at least one ultracapacitor. 24. The system of claim 14, wherein said at least one signal transfer component is configured to supply power received from an element of said sports board to said at least one other signal transfer component, wherein said element is selected from a group consisting of at least one battery, at least one capacitor, at least one ultracapacitor, and at least one solar cell. 25. The system of claim 14, wherein said at least one other signal transfer component is configured to supply power received from said at least one signal transfer component to an element of said at least one object, and wherein said element is selected from a group consisting of a power source of said at least one object, a monitoring component of said at least one object, an information determination component of said at least one object, a communication interface of said at least one object, a processor of said at least one object, a memory of said at least one object, a removable storage of said at least one object, a non-removable storage of said at least one object, a graphics processor of said at least one object, a frame buffer of said at least one object, an input component of said at least one object, and an output component of said at least one object. 26. The system of claim 25, wherein said power source is selected from a group consisting of at least one battery, at least one capacitor, and at least one ultracapacitor. 27. The system of claim 14, wherein said at least one other signal transfer component is configured to supply power received from an element of said at least one object to said at least one signal transfer component, wherein said element is selected from a group consisting of at least one battery, at least one capacitor, at least one ultracapacitor, and at least one solar cell. 28. The system of claim 14, wherein said sports board further includes: at least one conductive element disposed within said at least one layer, wherein said at least one conductive element is electrically coupled to said at least one signal transfer component, and wherein said at least one conductive element is selected from a group consisting of a trace and a wire. 29. The system of claim 14, wherein said sports board further includes: a communication interface coupled with said at least one layer, wherein said communication interface is configured to communicate data over an interface, wherein said interface is selected from a group consisting of a wired interface and a wireless interface, and wherein said data is selected from a group consisting of: a measured value of a property of said at least one layer; a measured value of an attribute of at least one component selected from a group consisting of said first component and said second component; a location of said sports board; a speed of said sports board; an acceleration of said sports board; an altitude of said sports board; an orientation of said sports board; an attitude of said sports board; a voltage of a power source of said sports board; and a functional state of at least one component of said sports board. 30. An apparatus comprising: means for transferring power, responsive to a coupling of at least one object with a sports board, between said at least one object and said sports board using at least one signal transfer component of said sports board; andmeans for independently controlling a plurality of components of said sports board to implement a plurality of configurations of said sports board, wherein said plurality of components includes a first component disposed at least partially within a first portion of at least one layer of said sports board, and wherein said plurality of components includes a second component disposed at least partially within a second portion of said at least one layer. 31. The method of claim 30, wherein each object of said at least one object is selected from a group consisting of a binding, a boot, and a shoe. 32. The method of claim 30, wherein each object of said at least one object is selected from a group consisting of clothing, protective gear, a watch, a configuration component, and a charger separate from said sports board. 33. The method of claim 30, wherein each signal transfer component of said at least one signal transfer component is selected from a group consisting of at least one electrical contact and at least one coil. 34. The method of claim 30, wherein said means for transferring power further comprises means for transferring power over an interface implemented using said at least one signal transfer component and at least one signal transfer component of said at least one object, and wherein said interface is selected from a group consisting of a wired interface, an inductive interface, and a wireless interface. 35. The method of claim 30 further comprising: means for transferring, using said at least one signal transfer component, a signal selected from a group consisting of a data signal, a clock signal, and a control signal. 36. The method of claim 30, wherein said at least one signal transfer component is disposed at least partially within a third portion of said at least one layer, and wherein said third portion is configured to couple said at least one object with said sports board. 37. The method of claim 36, wherein said means for transferring power further comprises means for transferring power responsive to said coupling of said at least one object with said sports board using an element of said sports board, wherein said element is disposed at least partially within said third portion, and wherein said element is selected from a group consisting of a threaded insert and a fastener. 38. The method of claim 30, wherein said means for transferring power further comprises means for transferring power from an element of said sports board to said at least one object, wherein said element is selected from a group consisting of at least one battery, at least one capacitor, at least one ultracapacitor, and at least one solar cell. 39. The method of claim 30, wherein said means for transferring power further comprises means for transferring power using at least one conductive element disposed within said at least one layer, wherein said at least one conductive element is electrically coupled to said at least one signal transfer component, and wherein said at least one conductive element is selected from a group consisting of a trace and a wire. 40. The method of claim 30 further comprising: means for communicating data over an interface, wherein said interface is selected from a group consisting of a wired interface and a wireless interface, and wherein said data is selected from a group consisting of: a measured value of a property of said at least one layer; a measured value of an attribute of at least one component of said plurality of components; a location of said sports board; a speed of said sports board; an acceleration of said sports board; an altitude of said sports board; an orientation of said sports board; an attitude of said sports board; a voltage of a power source of said sports board; and a functional state of at least one component of said sports board.
