A consumer goods product according to claim 1, wherein the lignin oligomer comprises at least two different linking motifs. 7. A consumer goods product according to claim 1, wherein the lignin oligomer has a weight average molecular weight (Mw) in the range of from 800 Da to 5,000 Da. 9. A consumer goods product according to claim 1, wherein the lignin oligomer has a number average molecular weight (Mn) in the range of from 800 Da to 1,200 Da. 10. A consumer goods product according to claim 1, wherein the lignin oligomer is essentially free of sulphur. 11. A consumer goods product according to claim 1, wherein the lignin oligomer has an ester content in the range of from 0.0 mmol/g to 0.1 mmol/g. 12. A consumer goods product according to claim 1, wherein the lignin oligomer is derived from corn, sugar cane, wheat and any combination thereof. 13.
