1. A vacuum cleaner comprising: a base including a motor assembly and a wheel;wherein the wheel rotates around the motor assembly about an axis of rotation, the wheel extends radially outward from the motor assembly, and a portion of the motor assembly intersects a plane defined by the wheel perpend
1. A vacuum cleaner comprising: a base including a motor assembly and a wheel;wherein the wheel rotates around the motor assembly about an axis of rotation, the wheel extends radially outward from the motor assembly, and a portion of the motor assembly intersects a plane defined by the wheel perpendicular to the axis of rotation; andwherein the motor assembly includes a motor belt shaft that extends outwards beyond the wheel. 2. The vacuum cleaner of claim 1, further comprising a wheel mount that carries the wheel. 3. The vacuum cleaner of claim 2, wherein at least a portion of the motor assembly is disposed in the wheel mount. 4. The vacuum cleaner of claim 1, wherein the base includes a dirty air intake opening and the motor assembly is operable draw air through the dirty air intake opening. 5. The vacuum cleaner of claim 4, further comprising a handle pivotally coupled to the base and a dust collection assembly coupled the handle for pivotal movement relative to the base. 6. The vacuum cleaner of claim 1, wherein the wheel is a first wheel, the base further including a second wheel. 7. The vacuum cleaner of claim 6, wherein the first and second wheels are co-axial. 8. The vacuum cleaner of claim 6, further comprising a first wheel mount that carries the first wheel. 9. The vacuum cleaner of claim 8, wherein at least a portion of the motor assembly is disposed in the first wheel mount. 10. The vacuum cleaner of claim 8, further comprising a second wheel mount that carries the second wheel. 11. The vacuum cleaner of claim 10, wherein the first and second wheel mounts are co-axial. 12. The vacuum cleaner of claim 6, wherein the motor assembly includes a motor. 13. The vacuum cleaner of claim 12, wherein a portion of the motor intersects a plane defined by the first wheel perpendicular to the axis of rotation. 14. The vacuum cleaner of claim 12, wherein the motor assembly includes a shaft coupled to the motor. 15. The vacuum cleaner of claim 14, wherein the shaft is operatively connected to a brushroll in the base. 16. The vacuum cleaner of claim 15, wherein the brushroll is provided in a portion of the base fluidly connected to a dirty air intake duct, the dirty air intake duct is provided in the base and fluidly connected to the motor assembly. 17. A vacuum cleaner comprising: a base including, a first wheel mount that carries a first wheel;a second wheel mount that carries a second wheel; anda motor received by the base, at least a portion of the motor being disposed within the first wheel mount, wherein the first wheel rotates about an outer perimeter of the motor such that the first wheel overlaps a portion of the motor, andwherein the motor includes a motor belt shaft which extends beyond the wheel. 18. The vacuum cleaner of claim 17, wherein the first wheel defines a circumference, a portion of the circumference of the first wheel overlaps the portion of the motor. 19. The vacuum cleaner of claim 17, further comprising a shaft coupled to and projecting from the motor, a portion of the shaft being disposed within the first wheel mount. 20. The vacuum cleaner of claim 17, further comprising a first portion separated from a second portion by a volute, the first wheel mount coupled to the first portion. 21. The vacuum cleaner of claim 20, further comprising a beater bar provided in a beater bar housing, the beater bar housing being in fluid connection with the volute by the intake duct. 22. The vacuum cleaner of claim 21, further comprising a shaft coupled to and projecting from the motor, a portion of the shaft being disposed within the first wheel mount, wherein the beater bar is rotatably coupled to the shaft projecting from the motor by a drive belt. 23. The vacuum cleaner of claim 20, wherein the volute is equidistant from the first wheel mount and the second wheel mount. 24. The vacuum cleaner of claim 23, wherein the motor is offset from the volute. 25. The vacuum cleaner of claim 17, wherein the portion of the motor being disposed within the first wheel mount is frictionally retained within the first wheel mount. 26. The vacuum cleaner of claim 17, further comprising a first wheel assembly that rotates about the first wheel mount, the first wheel assembly carries the first wheel, and a second wheel assembly that rotates about the second wheel mount, the second wheel assembly carries the second wheel. 27. The vacuum cleaner of claim 17, wherein the first and second wheel mounts, the first and second wheels, and the motor are concentric. 28. The vacuum cleaner of claim 17, wherein the first wheel rotates about a geometric center and a portion of the motor intersects the geometric center. 29. The vacuum cleaner of claim 17, wherein the first wheel includes a plurality of radii extending from a geometric center, and a portion of the motor intersects at least one radii.
