The invention includes a system and method for planning and customizing a gaming vacation. Initially, a central controller receives preference and configuration data from a user at a user terminal. A preparation code is then determined and associated with the configuration data. The configuration data and the associated preparation code are transmitted from the central controller to a casino server. The central controller provides feedback regarding the user's requests. The feedback may include, for example, marketing offers for the user and/or configuring a gaming device according to the configuration data associated with a preparation code received from a user at the gaming device.

1. A system comprising: a housing;a plurality of input devices supported by the housing, said plurality of input devices including an acceptor;at least one display device supported by the housing;at least one processor; andat least one memory device which stores a plurality of instructions, which when executed by the at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to: responsive to a physical item being received via the acceptor, establish a currency balance based, at least in part, on a monetary value associated with the received physical item, cause the at least one display device to display information associated with an available transaction, andresponsive to the available transaction being executed: modify the currency balance, andcause data associated with the executed transaction to be wirelessly communicated to a mobile device, wherein the wirelessly communicated data enables the mobile device to display a receipt of the executed transaction. 2. The system of claim 1, wherein the mobile device is selected from the group consisting of: a wearable computer, a hand-held computer, a personal digital assistant, and a cellular phone. 3. A server comprising: at least one processor; andat least one memory device which stores a plurality of instructions, which when executed by the at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to: responsive to data associated with receipt of a physical item received via an acceptor being received, establish a currency balance based, at least in part, on a monetary value associated with the received physical item, cause at least one display device to display information associated with an available transaction, andresponsive to the available transaction being executed: modify the currency balance, andcause data associated with the executed transaction to be wirelessly communicated to a mobile device, wherein the wirelessly communicated data enables the mobile device to display a receipt of the executed transaction. 4. The server of claim 3, wherein the mobile device is selected from the group consisting of: a wearable computer, a hand-held computer, a personal digital assistant, and a cellular phone. 5. The server of claim 3, which transmits and receives data over a data network. 6. The server of claim 3, wherein the data network is an internet. 7. A method of operating a system, said method comprising: responsive to a physical item being received via an acceptor, establishing, by at least one processor, a currency balance based, at least in part, on a monetary value associated with the received physical item;displaying, by at least one display device, information associated with an available transaction; andresponsive to the available transaction being executed: modifying, by the at least one processor, the currency balance, andcausing data associated with the executed transaction to be wirelessly communicated to a mobile device, wherein the wirelessly communicated data enables the mobile device to display a receipt of the executed transaction. 8. The method of claim 7, wherein the mobile device is selected from the group consisting of: a wearable computer, a hand-held computer, a personal digital assistant, and a cellular phone. 9. The method of claim 7, which is provided through a data network. 10. The method of claim 9, wherein the data network is an internet. 11. A method of operating a server, said method comprising: responsive to data associated with receipt of a physical item received via an acceptor being received, establishing, by at least one processor, a currency balance based, at least in part, on a monetary value associated with the received physical item;communicating data which results in at least one display device displaying information associated with an available transaction; andresponsive to the available transaction being executed: modifying, by the at least one processor, the currency balance, andcausing data associated with the executed transaction to be wirelessly communicated to a mobile device, wherein the wirelessly communicated data enables the mobile device to display a receipt of the executed transaction. 12. The method of claim 11, wherein the mobile device is selected from the group consisting of: a wearable computer, a hand-held computer, a personal digital assistant, and a cellular phone. 13. The method of claim 11, which is provided through a data network. 14. The method of claim 13, wherein the data network is an internet. 15. The system of claim 1, wherein the wirelessly communicated data is associated with the modified currency balance. 16. The server of claim 3, wherein the wirelessly communicated data is associated with the modified currency balance. 17. The method of claim 7, wherein the wirelessly communicated data is associated with the modified currency balance. 18. The method of claim 11, wherein the wirelessly communicated data is associated with the modified currency balance.
