The child stroller apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the first frame portion includes two first tube portions, and the second frame portion includes two second tube portions and an inner frame member fixedly connected with the two second tube portions, the two first tube portions being respectively assembled telescopically with the two second tube portions, and the linkage being pivotally connected with the inner frame member in a central region of the child stroller apparatus. 3. The child stroller apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the first frame portion is a front frame portion, and the second frame portion is a rear frame portion. 4. The child stroller apparatus according to claim 3, further including a first and a second leg portion, a handle frame having a side segment, and a joint structure, the first and second leg portions being respectively connected pivotally with the front frame portion, and the side segment of the handle frame being connected with the first and second leg portions via the joint structure. 5. The child stroller apparatus according to claim 4, wherein the first leg portion has a first seat mount configured to detachably engage with any of a stroller seat and an infant car seat as a first seat of the child stroller apparatus, and the second frame portion has a second seat mount configured to detachably engage with any of a stroller seat and an infant car seat as a second seat of the child stroller apparatus. 6. The child stroller apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the actuator includes a handle or a rotary knob, the handle or rotary knob being operable to cause rotation of the actuator relative to the first frame portion. 7. The child stroller apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the first frame portion is a front frame portion having a footrest, and the actuator is disposed adjacent to the footrest. 8. The child stroller apparatus according to claim 7, wherein the actuator is exposed on a sidewall or an upper surface of the footrest. 9. The child stroller apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the actuator and the linkage are movable generally horizontally. 10. The child stroller apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the actuator includes a tubular segment provided with the guide slot, and a handle fixedly connected with the tubular segment. 11. The child stroller apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the first and second wheel assemblies are spaced apart from each other by a first distance when the actuator is in a first position and by a second distance greater than the first distance when the actuator is in a second position, the first, second and third pivot connections defining three distinct apexes of a triangle when the actuator is in the first or second position. 12. The child stroller apparatus according to claim 11, wherein the control mechanism further includes a spring operatively connected with the actuator and the linkage, the spring applying a biasing force for keeping the apex of the second pivot connection offset from a line joining the respective apexes of the first and third pivot connections. 13. The child stroller apparatus according to claim 12, wherein the spring has two opposite ends respectively connected with the actuator and the second pivot connection. 14. The child stroller apparatus according to claim 13, wherein the actuator includes a tubular segment provided with the guide slot, and the spring is assembled around the tubular segment. 15. The child stroller apparatus according to claim 12, wherein the actuator further has a center position located between the first and second positions, the first, second and third pivot connections being centered on a same line and the spring being loaded when the actuator is in the center position. 16. The child stroller apparatus according to claim 15, wherein the first, second and third pivot connections are substantially centered on the same line substantially coaxial to an axis of the spring when the actuator is in the center position. 17. The child stroller apparatus according to claim 1, further including an expandable storage basket spanning across the first and second frame portions, wherein the storage basket includes two basket frame portions respectively attached to the first and second frame portions, and an elastic member connected with the two basket frame portions, the elastic member being stretched when the second frame portion moves relative to the first frame portion for increasing a distance between the first and second wheel assemblies. 18. A child stroller apparatus comprising: a first frame portion provided with a first wheel assembly;a second frame portion including a stand platform and a second wheel assembly disposed adjacent to each other, the second frame portion being assembled with the first frame portion for sliding movement along a lengthwise axis extending from a front to a rear of the child stroller apparatus;a control mechanism operable to adjust a position of the second frame portion relative to the first frame portion, the control mechanism including an actuator assembled with the second frame portion adjacent to the stand platform, the actuator being operable to drive the second frame portion in sliding movement relative to the first frame portion for modifying a distance between the first and second wheel assemblies; anda latch assembled with the second frame portion and operatively connected with the actuator via a linking assembly, the latch engaging with the first frame portion to lock the second frame portion in position relative to the first frame portion, and the actuator further being operable to cause the latch to disengage from the first frame portion for unlocking the second frame portion. 19. The child stroller apparatus according to claim 18, wherein the first frame portion includes a seat mount disposed close to the stand platform, the seat mount being configured to detachably engage with any of a stroller seat and an infant car seat. 20. The child stroller apparatus according to claim 19, wherein the seat mount is movable between a stowed configuration and a deployed configuration. 21. The child stroller apparatus according to claim 20, wherein the seat mount in the stowed configuration is positionable at an underside of the stand platform. 22. The child stroller apparatus according to claim 18, wherein the first frame portion includes a first tube portion, and the second frame portion includes a second tube portion telescopically assembled with the first tube portion. 23. The child stroller apparatus according to claim 18, wherein the actuator is slidably connected with the stand platform. 24. The child stroller apparatus according to claim 18, wherein the actuator is movable relative to the second frame portion to cause the latch to disengage from the first frame portion for unlocking the second frame portion, and the actuator is further movable in unison with the unlocked second frame portion relative to the first frame portion for modifying a distance between the first and second wheel assemblies. 25. The child stroller apparatus according to claim 18, wherein the linking assembly includes a cable connected with the actuator. 26. The child stroller apparatus according to claim 25, wherein the second frame portion has a wheel mount connected with the second wheel assembly, the linking assembly further includes a driving member connected with the latch, and the cable includes an outer sheath and a wire slidably placed through an interior of the outer sheath, the wire having two opposite ends respectively connected with the driving member and the stand platform, and the outer sheath having two opposite ends respectively connected with the actuator and the wheel mount. 27. The child stroller apparatus according to claim 18, wherein the latch is slidably or pivotally connected with the second frame portion, and is biased by a spring for engagement with the first frame portion. 28. A child stroller apparatus comprising: a first frame portion provided with a first wheel assembly, the first frame portion including two first tube portions;a second frame portion provided with a second wheel assembly, the second frame portion being assembled with the first frame portion for sliding movement along a lengthwise axis extending from a front to a rear of the child stroller apparatus, wherein the second frame portion includes two second tube portions and an inner frame member fixedly connected with the two second tube portions, the two first tube portions being respectively assembled telescopically with the two second tube portions; anda control mechanism operable to adjust a position of the second frame portion relative to the first frame portion, the control mechanism including an actuator assembled with the first frame portion, and a linkage respectively connected with the actuator and the inner frame member in a central region of the child stroller apparatus, the actuator being operable to drive the second frame portion in sliding movement relative to the first frame portion for modifying a distance between the first and second wheel assemblies. 29. The child stroller apparatus according to claim 28, wherein the actuator is pivotally connected with the first frame portion. 30. The child stroller apparatus according to claim 28, wherein the first frame portion has a footrest, and the actuator is assembled with the first frame portion adjacent to the footrest. 31. The child stroller apparatus according to claim 28, wherein the actuator has a guide slot and is pivotally connected with the first frame portion via a first pivot connection, and the linkage includes a bar that is respectively connected pivotally with the actuator and the inner frame member via a second and a third pivot connection, the second pivot connection being guided for sliding displacement along the guide slot of the actuator. 32. The child stroller apparatus according to claim 31, wherein the first and second wheel assemblies are spaced apart from each other by a first distance when the actuator is in a first position and by a second distance greater than the first distance when the actuator is in a second position, the first, second and third pivot connections defining three distinct apexes of a triangle when the actuator is in the first or second position. 33. The child stroller apparatus according to claim 32, wherein the control mechanism further includes a spring operatively connected with the actuator and the linkage, the spring applying a biasing force for keeping the apex of the second pivot connection offset from a line joining the respective apexes of the first and third pivot connections. 34. The child stroller apparatus according to claim 33, wherein the spring has two opposite ends respectively connected with the actuator and the second pivot connection. 35. A child stroller apparatus comprising: a first frame portion provided with a first wheel assembly;a second frame portion provided with a second wheel assembly, the second frame portion being assembled with the first frame portion for sliding movement along a lengthwise axis extending from a front to a rear of the child stroller apparatus; anda control mechanism operable to adjust a position of the second frame portion relative to the first frame portion, the control mechanism including an actuator assembled with the second frame portion, the actuator being operable to drive the second frame portion in sliding movement relative to the first frame portion for modifying a distance between the first and second wheel assemblies;wherein the first frame portion is a front frame portion, the second frame portion is a rear frame portion having a stand platform, and the actuator is assembled with the second frame portion adjacent to the stand platform. 36. The child stroller apparatus according to claim 35, further including a latch assembled with the second frame portion and operatively connected with the actuator via a linking assembly, the latch engaging with the first frame portion to lock the second frame portion in position relative to the first frame portion, and the actuator further being operable to cause the latch to disengage from the first frame portion for unlocking the second frame portion. 37. The child stroller apparatus according to claim 36, wherein the actuator is movable relative to the second frame portion to cause the latch to disengage from the first frame portion for unlocking the second frame portion, and the actuator is further movable in unison with the unlocked second frame portion relative to the first frame portion for modifying a distance between the first and second wheel assemblies. 38. The child stroller apparatus according to claim 36, wherein the linking assembly includes a cable connected with the actuator. 39. The child stroller apparatus according to claim 36, wherein the latch is slidably or pivotally connected with the second frame portion, and is biased by a spring for engagement with the first frame portion. 40. A child stroller apparatus comprising: a first frame portion provided with a first wheel assembly, the first frame portion including a seat mount configured to detachably engage with any of a stroller seat and an infant car seat;a second frame portion including a stand platform and a second wheel assembly disposed adjacent to each other, the second frame portion being assembled with the first frame portion for sliding movement along a lengthwise axis extending from a front to a rear of the child stroller apparatus; anda control mechanism operable to adjust a position of the second frame portion relative to the first frame portion, the control mechanism including an actuator assembled with the second frame portion adjacent to the stand platform, the actuator being operable to drive the second frame portion in sliding movement relative to the first frame portion for modifying a distance between the first and second wheel assemblies;wherein the seat mount is movable between a stowed configuration and a deployed configuration, the seat mount in the stowed configuration being positionable at an underside of the stand platform. 41. The child stroller apparatus according to claim 40, further including a latch operatively connected with the actuator via a linking assembly, the latch being operable to lock the second frame portion in position relative to the first frame portion, and the actuator further being operable to cause the latch to move and unlock the second frame portion. 42. The child stroller apparatus according to claim 40, wherein the seat mount projects upward in the deployed configuration, and lies generally horizontally in the stowed configuration. 43. The child stroller apparatus according to claim 40, the seat mount in the deployed configuration is positioned in front of the stand platform. 44. A child stroller apparatus comprising: a front frame portion provided with a first wheel assembly;a rear frame portion provided with a second wheel assembly, the rear frame portion being assembled with the front frame portion for sliding movement along a lengthwise axis extending from a front to a rear of the child stroller apparatus;a first and a second leg portion respectively connected pivotally with the front frame portion;a handle frame having a side segment, the side segment of the handle frame being connected with the first and second leg portions via a joint structure; anda control mechanism operable to adjust a position of the rear frame portion relative to the front frame portion, the control mechanism including an actuator assembled with the front frame portion, and a linkage respectively connected with the actuator and the rear frame portion, the actuator being operable to drive the rear frame portion in sliding movement relative to the front frame portion for increasing or reducing a distance between the first and second wheel assemblies. 45. The child stroller apparatus according to claim 44, wherein the front frame portion has a footrest, and the actuator is disposed adjacent to the footrest. 46. The child stroller apparatus according to claim 44, further including an expandable storage basket spanning across the front and rear frame portions, wherein the storage basket includes two basket frame portions respectively attached to the front and rear frame portions, and an elastic member connected with the two basket frame portions, the elastic member being stretched when the rear frame portion moves relative to the front frame portion for increasing a distance between the first and second wheel assemblies.
