The container of claim 9, wherein the first and second latch members are located on opposite sides of the container portion of the container. 11. The container of claim 10, wherein in the second position, the first latch member engages the cover of the container and the container portion of the at least one other container when the first latch member is in the second position, and wherein the second latch members eachmember engages the cover of the container and the container portion of the at least one other container when the second latch member is in the fourth position. 12. The container of claim 1, further comprising a cover latch on a front side for latching the cover to the container portion of the container. 13. The container of claim 12, wherein the cover latch is separate from the first and second latch memberslatch member. 14. The container of claim 12, wherein the cover latch is pivotally connected to the cover and engages a latch engaging element on the container portion of the container to lock the cover to the container portion of the container. 15. The container of claim 21, wherein the cover further comprises an outer ridge portion having a top surface elevated above the at least one other top surface of the cover and constructed and arranged such that a bottom surface of the outer ridge portion rests below a level of a top surface of an outer wall of the container portion of the container when the opening is closed by the cover. 23. The container of claim 1, further comprising: removable inner containers for placement in the interior space,wherein the cover comprises at least a bottom surface that rests below a level of a top surface of at least one of the removable inner containers when the opening is closed by the cover. 24. The container of claim 1, wherein the latch member is located on a first side of the container, and wherein the container further comprises: cover latch members, on a second side of the container, for latching the cover to the container portion of the container; anda carrying handle, on the second side of the container between the cover latch members, that is constructed and arranged such that, when the container is secured to the at least one other container via the engagement of the latch member with the container portion of the at least one other container, the carrying handle is vertically aligned with a carrying handle of the at least one other container. 25.
