The gaming system, gaming device, and gaming method disclosed herein provide an opportunity for a player to place a replay wager for a group or set of a plurality of plays of a wagering game. In one embodiment, the replay wager activates a replay feature which the player can use a designated number of times (such as one time) over the plurality of plays of the wagering game. The player's use of the replay feature causes the gaming system to redisplay the previous play of the wagering game, and provide any awards associated with the previous play of the wagering game. After the player uses the replay feature over each of the designated number (such as one) of the plurality of plays of the wagering game, the player cannot use the replay feature for any of the remaining plays of the plurality of plays of the wagering game.

1. A gaming system comprising: at least one display device;a plurality of input devices including an acceptor and a cashout device;at least one processor; andat least one memory device which stores a plurality of instructions, which when executed by the at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to: responsive to a physical item being received via the acceptor, establish a credit balance based, at least in part, on a monetary value associated with the received physical item, for each of a total quantity of plays of a game: receive a placement of a wager, randomly determine one of a plurality of different outcomes, cause the at least one display device to display the randomly determined outcome, determine an award associated with the randomly determined outcome, andcause the at least one display device to display the determined award, for each of a designated quantity of at least two consecutive plays of the game, store the determined awards associated with the randomly determined outcomes of said designated quantity of the at least two consecutive plays of the game, wherein said designated quantity of the at least two consecutive plays of the game is less than the total quantity of plays of the game and said designated quantity of the at least two consecutive plays of the game is determined prior to each wager being placed on each play of the game of said designated quantity of the at least two consecutive plays of the game, cause the at least one display device to display the stored determined awards associated with the randomly determined outcomes of said designated quantity of the at least two consecutive plays of the game, upon an occurrence of a triggering event: determine a replay award based on a sum of the stored determined awards associated with the randomly determined outcomes of said designated quantity of the at least two consecutive plays of the game, andcause the at least one display device to display the determined replay award, andresponsive to a cashout input being received via the cashout device, cause an initiation of any payout associated with the credit balance. 2. The gaming system of claim 1, wherein at least one of the stored determined awards associated with the randomly determined outcomes of said designated quantity of the at least two consecutive plays of the game has a value of zero. 3. The gaming system of claim 1, wherein when executed by the at least one processor, said plurality of instructions cause the at least one processor to store the determined awards associated with the randomly determined outcomes of the designated quantity of the at least two consecutive plays of the game when a replay wager is received in association with the designated quantity of the at least two consecutive plays of the game. 4. The gaming system of claim 3, wherein the designated quantity of the at least two consecutive plays of the game is based on the received replay wager. 5. The gaming system of claim 1, wherein at least one of: at least one of the determined awards associated with at least one of the randomly determined outcomes and the replay award is an amount of non-monetary credits. 6. A gaming system server comprising: at least one processor; andat least one memory device which stores a plurality of instructions, which when executed by the at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to: for each of a total quantity of plays of a game: receive data associated with a placement of a wager, wherein a credit balance is decreasable based on the wager placed, said credit balance being increasable via an acceptor of a physical item associated with a monetary value and said credit balance being decreasable via a cashout device, randomly determine one of a plurality of different outcomes, communicate data which results in at least one display device displaying the randomly determined outcome, determine an award associated with the randomly determined outcome, andcommunicate data which results in the at least one display device displaying the determined award, for each of a designated quantity of at least two consecutive plays of the game, store the determined awards associated with the randomly determined outcomes of said designated quantity of the at least two consecutive plays of the game, wherein said designated quantity of the at least two consecutive plays of the game is less than the total quantity of plays of the game and said designated quantity of the at least two consecutive plays of the game is determined prior to each wager being placed on each play of the game of said designated quantity of the at least two consecutive plays of the game, communicate data which results in the at least one display device displaying the stored determined awards associated with the randomly determined outcomes of said designated quantity of the at least two consecutive plays of the game, andupon an occurrence of a triggering event: determine a replay award based on a sum of the stored determined awards associated with the randomly determined outcomes of said designated quantity of the at least two consecutive plays of the game, andcommunicate data which results in the at least one display device displaying the determined replay award. 7. The gaming system server of claim 6, wherein at least one of the stored determined awards associated with the randomly determined outcomes of said designated quantity of the at least two consecutive plays of the game has a value of zero. 8. The gaming system server of claim 6, wherein when executed by the at least one processor, said plurality of instructions cause the at least one processor to store the determined awards associated with the randomly determined outcomes of the designated quantity of the at least two consecutive plays of the game when a replay wager is received in association with the designated quantity of the at least two consecutive plays of the game. 9. The gaming system server of claim 8, wherein the designated quantity of the at least two consecutive plays of the game is based on the received replay wager. 10. The gaming system server of claim 6, wherein at least one of: at least one of the determined awards associated with at least one of the randomly determined outcomes and the replay award is an amount of non-monetary credits. 11. A method of operating a gaming system, said method comprising: for each of a total quantity of plays of a game: receiving a placement of a wager, wherein a credit balance is decreasable based on the wager placed, said credit balance being increasable via an acceptor of a physical item associated with a monetary value and said credit balance being decreasable via a cashout device, randomly determining, by at least one processor, one of a plurality of different outcomes, displaying, by at least one display device, the randomly determined outcome, determining, by the at least one processor, an award associated with the randomly determined outcome, anddisplaying, by the at least one display device, the determined award, for each of a designated quantity of at least two consecutive plays of the game, storing, by at least one memory device, the determined awards associated with the randomly determined outcomes of said designated quantity of the at least two consecutive plays of the game, wherein said designated quantity of the at least two consecutive plays of the game is less than the total quantity of plays of the game and said designated quantity of the at least two consecutive plays of the game is determined prior to each wager being placed on each play of the game of said designated quantity of the at least two consecutive plays of the game, displaying, by the display device, the stored determined awards associated with the randomly determined outcomes of said designated quantity of the at least two consecutive plays of the game, andupon an occurrence of a triggering event: determining, by the processor, a replay award based on a sum of the stored determined awards associated with the randomly determined outcomes of said designated quantity of the at least two consecutive plays of the game, anddisplaying, by the display device, the determined replay award. 12. The method of claim 11, wherein at least one of the stored determined awards associated with the randomly determined outcomes of said designated quantity of the at least two consecutive plays of the game has a value of zero. 13. The method of claim 11, further comprising storing, by the at least one memory device, the determined awards associated with the randomly determined outcomes of the designated quantity of the at least two consecutive plays of the game when a replay wager is received in association with the designated quantity of the at least two consecutive plays of the game. 14.
