A data receiver unit, comprising: a first processing unit configured to perform a first predetermined processing routine, and a second processing unit configured to perform a second predetermined processing routine, wherein the first and second predetermined processing routines are non-overlappin

A data receiver unit, comprising: a first processing unit configured to perform a first predetermined processing routine, and a second processing unit configured to perform a second predetermined processing routine, wherein the first and second predetermined processing routines are non-overlapping; andwherein the data receiver unit is configured to receive one or more analyte related signals during a data reception cycle; andwherein, prior to the start of the data reception cycle, one of the first or the second processing units is configured to enter an inactive mode, wherein the inactive mode includes suspending all activity of one of the first or second processing units. 2. The data receiver unit of claim 1, wherein the data receiver unit is further configured to provide medication information based on the received one or more analyte related signals for administration to a subject. 3. The data receiver unit of claim 2, wherein the medication information includes an insulin amount. 4. The data receiver unit of claim 1, further comprising a wireless communication module configured to receive data corresponding to one or more analyte related signals. 5. The data receiver unit of claim 1, further comprising a sample analysis module, wherein the sample analysis module is configured to receive one or more data associated with a respective one or more analyte samples for processing. 6. The data receiver unit of claim 5, wherein the one or more analyte samples are received from a respective one or more glucose test strips. 7. The data receiver unit of claim 5, wherein the sample analysis module includes a sample analysis module processing unit configured to process the one or more data associated with the respective one or more analyte samples. 8. The data receiver unit of claim 1, further comprising a user interface module, wherein the user interface module includes an output unit configured to output one or more signals associated with a physiological condition of a patient. 9. The data receiver unit of claim 8, wherein the output unit is configured to display one or more of a visual, auditory or vibratory output associated with the physiological condition of the patient. 10. The data receiver unit of claim 9, wherein the visual output includes one or more of a directional arrow indicator, a color indicator, or a monitored condition level indicator. 11. An analyte data receiver for receiving one or more analyte related signals during a data reception cycle, the analyte data receiver comprising: one or more processing units; anda memory unit coupled to the one or more processing units, the memory unit being configured to store one or more programming instructions which, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processing units to generate a quiet host signal prior to a data reception period and, in response to the generated quiet host signal, complete a current processing cycle, if any, and enter an inactive mode during the data reception period. 12. The analyte data receiver of claim 11, wherein the programming instructions further cause the one or more processing units to provide medication information based on the received one or more analyte related signals for administration to a subject. 13. The analyte data receiver of claim 12, wherein the medication information includes an insulin amount. 14. The analyte data receiver of claim 11, further comprising a wireless communication module configured to receive data corresponding to the one or more analyte related signals. 15. The analyte data receiver of claim 11, further comprising a sample analysis module, wherein the sample analysis module is configured to receive one or more data associated with a respective one or more analyte samples for processing. 16. The analyte data receiver of claim 15, wherein the one or more analyte samples are received from a respective one or more glucose test strips. 17. The analyte data receiver of claim 15, wherein the sample analysis module includes a sample analysis module processing unit configured to process the one or more data associated with the respective one or more analyte samples. 18. The analyte data receiver of claim 11, further comprising a user interface module, wherein the user interface module includes an output unit configured to output one or more signals associated with a physiological condition of a patient. 19. The analyte data receiver of claim 18, wherein the output unit is configured to display one or more of a visual, auditory or vibratory output associated with the physiological condition of the patient. 20. The analyte data receiver of claim 19, wherein the visual output includes one or more of a directional arrow indicator, a color indicator, or a monitored condition level indicator.
