The waterproofing roof mounting system of claim 1 wherein the fastener is a screw having a first portion with a first diameter and a second portion with a second diameter larger than the first diameter and wherein the first portion penetrates the structural member. 3. The waterproofing roof mounting system of claim 1 wherein the seal is compressed between the second screw portion and the substantially horizontal portion of the block member. 4. The waterproofing roof mounting system of claim 1 wherein the seal is compressed above and between the second screw portion and the distal end of the upstanding portion. 5. The waterproofing roof mounting system of claim 1 wherein the substantially vertical portion is configured to connect solar modules to the waterproofing roof mounting system. 6. A roof mount for attaching an article to a roof, the roof mount comprising: a. a base member including an integral cylindrical projection;b. a block member configured to fit over the base member and projection;c. a fastener including a long portion and a head portion, each with a diameter, and wherein the long portion is at least partially threaded and the head portion diameter is larger than the long portion diameter; andd. a seal member including a deformable portion, the seal compressed between the head portion and the block member. 7. The roof mount of claim 6 wherein the block member is configured to support at least one additional structural member above the roof. 8. The roof mount of claim 7 wherein the at least one additional structural member comprises an aluminum member having a top portion, a length, and a groove in the top portion extending the length of the aluminum member. 9. The roof mount of claim 8 wherein the groove is configured to connect the at least one additional structural member with at least one clamp assembly. 10. The roof mount of claim 9 wherein the at least one clamp assembly is configured to sandwich the top and bottom of frame members of the article. 11. A roof mounting system for installing at least one solar panel to a roof, the roof mounting system comprising: a. a flashing comprising an integral protrusion, the protrusion comprising: i. sides substantially perpendicular to the flashing;ii. a distal end; andiii. an aperture in the distal end;b. a bracket configured to fit over the base member and projection;c. a hole in the bracket;d. a seal comprising a deformable portion and an opening;e. a fastener inserted through each of the opening, the hole, the aperture and the roof, thus connecting the bracket and flashing to the roof; andf. a clamp assembly attached to the at least one solar panel and supported by the bracket. 12. The roof mounting system according to claim 11 wherein the bracket includes a first portion configured to fit over the protrusion. 13. The roof mounting system according to claim 11 wherein the bracket includes a second portion extending away from the roof and supporting the solar panels above the bracket. 14. A roof mount assembly for attaching an array of solar panels to a roof, the roof mount assembly comprising: a. a flashing including at least one integral upstanding portion having a distal end with a distal end aperture, the upstanding portion further including parallel sides of a substantially consistent height fully surrounding the aperture;b. a bracket configured to fit over the flashing and upstanding portion, the bracket comprising a hole, a first portion and a second portion, wherein the hole aligns with the aperture, the first portion includes an elevated seal, and the second portion extends upwardly away from the flashing and connects the at least one solar panel to the bracket;c. a fastener configured to attach the bracket and the flashing to the roof, the fastener including at least one partially threaded long portion and a head portion each with a diameter wherein the head portion diameter is larger than the long portion diameter, and wherein the long portion extends through the hole, the aperture and the roof; andd. a seal including a deformable portion, the seal compressed between the head portion and the upstanding portion. 15. The roof mount assembly of claim 14 wherein the deformable portion of the seal contacts the distal end of the upstanding portion. 16. The roof mount assembly of claim 14 wherein the second portion of the bracket comprises a slotted opening and is configured to support the at least one solar panel above a roof surface and attach the at least one solar panel to the roof structure. 17. The roof mount assembly of claim 14 wherein the second portion of the bracket is configured to connect at least one additional structural member for supporting the at least one solar panel above the roof. 18. The roof mount of claim 14 wherein the additional structural member comprises an aluminum member having a top portion, a length and a groove in the top portion extending the length of the aluminum member. 19. The roof mount of claim 18 wherein the groove is configured to connect the at least one additional structural member with at least one clamp assembly. 20. The roof mount of claim 14 wherein the at least one clamp assembly is configured to sandwich the top and bottom of frame members of the at least one solar panel.
