1. An apparatus, comprising: a motor structured to move a bolt of a door lock assembly between an extended position and a retracted position;a drive member drivingly coupled with the bolt and actuatable to cause movement of the bolt between the extended and retracted positions; anda lost motion assembly interposed between the motor and the drive member and having a first lost motion member moveable via the motor and a second lost motion member moveable via the drive member that is in moveable communication with the first lost motion member, the first lost motion member including a pocket that extends inwardly into the first lost motion member, the first lost motion member having an engaging portion structured to contact the second lost motion member within the pocket of the first lost motion member and cause movement of the drive member between a relatively extended position and a relatively retracted position, the first lost motion member also having a range of motion in which the engaging portion is not in contact with the second lost motion member within the pocket of the first lost motion member such that, in one mode of operation, movement of the bolt results in substantially little corresponding movement of the first lost motion member. 2. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the range of motion corresponds substantially to a full throw of the bolt between the extended position and the retracted position. 3. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein first lost motion member is a gear and the engaging portion is a protrusion formed in the gear, and wherein the second lost motion member is a rotatable member having a complementary surface structured to receive the protrusion of the first lost motion member. 4. The apparatus of claim 3, wherein the protrusion forms part of the pocket and the second lost motion member is a cam placed in the pocket. 5. The apparatus of claim 4, which further includes a key pad configured to receive a pass code useful in activating the motor to extend or retract the bolt. 6. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the motor is coupled to a gear train via gearing, and wherein the gearing permits the motor to be back driven. 7. The apparatus of claim 6, wherein the gearing includes a pinion gear connected to the motor. 8. The apparatus of claim 6, wherein the motor places the first lost motion member in a home state after actuation of the drive member, and wherein in a degraded mode of a door access device of the door lock assembly, the drive member is placed in a position corresponding to a position of the bolt that is intermediate the extended and retracted positions, and wherein the second lost motion member is capable of backdriving the gear train to alleviate the degraded mode. 9. An apparatus, comprising: a powered door access device module structured to operate a bolt that can be extended and retracted to secure a door, the device module also having a receptacle for receiving an energy storage device useful to provide power to a motor to extend and retract the bolt; anda lost motion assembly disposed within the powered door access device module having a first lost motion member oriented to be driven directly via the motor and a second lost motion member oriented to extend and retract the bolt, the first lost motion member and the second lost motion member structured to contact each other to transmit power from the motor to the bolt such that the first lost motion member is capable of moving over an operating range to convey the second lost motion member between a bolt retracted position and a bolt extended position, the first lost motion member also having a deadband of contact with the second lost motion member that corresponds substantially to the operating range such that, after the second lost motion member is conveyed to the bolt extended position, the first lost motion member can be reversed and returned to a starting position substantially without disrupting an orientation of the second lost motion member. 10. The apparatus of claim 9, wherein the first lost motion member and the second lost motion member are rotatable devices having a common axis of rotation. 11. The apparatus of claim 9, which further includes a gear train between the motor and the first lost motion member, the gear train structured to convey torque from the motor to cause rotation of the first lost motion member, and to convey torque from the first lost motion member to the motor to cause backdriven motion of the motor. 12. The apparatus of claim 11, which further includes a front side keypad capable of activating the motor to move the bolt between the extended and retracted positions. 13. The apparatus of claim 12, which further includes a front side lock with keyhole. 14. The apparatus of claim 9, which further includes a drive member capable of being driven by the motor and a user grappling member of the powered door access device module, the drive member having a registration surface that permits one way coupling with a bolt device. 15. An apparatus, comprising: a powered bolt assembly that includes a motor disposed internal to the powered bolt assembly that is coupled with a bolt via gearing and a drive member structured to move the bolt between an extended position and a retracted position; anda lost motion assembly interposed between the motor and the drive member that has a first lost motion member moveable via the motor and a second lost motion member moveable via the drive member, the first lost motion member having a range of motion in which the first lost motion member is not in contact with the second lost motion member such that, in one mode of operation, movement of the bolt results in substantially little corresponding movement of the first lost motion member, the first and second lost motion members arranged to interact without passing over one another in response to movement of the bolt to the extended position. 16. The apparatus of claim 15, wherein the powered bolt assembly includes a thumb turn, and wherein the apparatus further includes a gear assembly capable of being driven in a forward and a backward direction such that force applied to the thumb turn causes the motor to be driven through the gear assembly. 17. The apparatus of claim 15, wherein the first lost motion member includes a pocket that extends inwardly into the first lost motion member, and wherein the first lost motion member has an engaging portion that is structured to contact the second lost motion member within the pocket of the first lost motion member. 18.
