This project was carried out to examine using cultivation technique of short length cut-flower for the production possibility of cut-flower of S-M class on chrysanthemum (Dendranthema grandiflorum) domestic cultivar ' Baekma‘ in Busan, Seocheon, Jeonju, and Changwon area. The cultivation technique of short length cut-flower is cultivation period 80-85day, planting distance 10×10cm, density 200 plant per 3.3㎡, night break treatment 30-40days after planting, harvesting time 80-85cm of plant height.
Consequently, the technique is to improve 216.9% of farm profit, 45.4% of productivity, and 383% of added value ratio and to reduce 41.4% of production cost, and 23% of labor power.
2. This study was conducted to investigate the effect of white rust control of cut chrysanthemum ‘Baekma' by humidity regulations in the greenhouse. Humidity control of dehumidifier were not effective in summer season cut chrysanthemum ‘Baekma' growth, because of forced ventilation due to high temperature in the greenhouse. However, in dehumidifier treatment of winter season compared to summer season, humidity in the greenhouse decreased by 6.9% as 78.7%. The occurrence of white rust was observed from the end of April 2012, and percentage of incidence was about 30.8% in the end of October. In 2013, That started in the end of April. By the end of October, percentage of incidence was about 20%. Chemical material spray for white rust was 1 times per week, and major chemical materials were pyraclostrobin, kresoxim-methyl, trifloxystrobin, mancozeb, chlorothalonil, azoxystrobin, and myclobutanil.
3. This study was conducted on chrysanthemum (Dendranthema grandiflorum) domestic cultivar ' Baekma‘ for the cultivation of export cropping system in Jeonbuk area. The cropping system existing in from A ugust to September was expanded from June to December. The total amount of seed farms to supply the 3,708,000 plants and the cultivated area of 8.3ha. The ratio of exports to Japan in 2012, 67% of the replenishing amount, and increased to 76% in 2013. The improvement in the export earnings in 2012, was 220%, accounting for 2013 was 258% than domestic shipments.
4. This project was carried out to demonstrate the effect of the eco-friendly cultivation technology of standard typed Chrysanthemum cultivar ‘Baekma’ by using the soil steam sterilization and a natural enemy.
The results are as follows;
1) For the eco-friendly demonstration cultivation of ‘Baekma’, 280,000 young plants were planted in 2012. After harvesting, 70,000 pieces of them were exported by Buyeo-gun, while 140,000 pieces of them were sold in domestic flower market by Dangjin-si and Taean-gun.
2) In 2013, 354,250 young plants of ‘Baema’ were planted for the eco-friendly demonstration cultivation. After harvesting, 91,840 pieces of them were exported and 35,074 pieces were sold in domestic flower market. The income increase rate by export had higher rate as 129.6% compared to domestic sales.
3) For a soil steam sterilization method, bore hole stainless flexible pipes to be 2~2.5mm at the interval of 30mm were put on the ridge, and then, steam sterilization could be performed after being covered with high temperature resistant vinyl (Rotosteam 015, 7.6m of width x 50m of length / made in Holland).
4) After the soil steam sterilization, The rate of the export standardized product of chrysanthemum ‘Baemka’ to Japan was as follows: 2L grade 18.6% (10.4% control), L grade 69.4% (50.2%), M grade 10.4%(19.9%) and S grade 1.6%(19.5%) were produced respectively.
5) Biological control of Tetranychus urticae by P hytoseiulus persimilis was observed in chrysanthemum greenhous for autumn season culture. T. urticae was controlled to low density of less than 0.5 mite after P . persimilis were realeased 2 times with 2 weeks interavals at rate of 10 upper leaf of per plant when was occurrence 0.5 mite of leaf.
6) Leaf dipping method were used of the toxicity evaluation against P hytoseiulus persimilis adults. We tested 20 different pesticides at recommending concentration commonly used to control insect pests, disease in chrysanthemum field. 1 fugicides, 1 insecticides, 1 acaricide were shown to be low toxic to P hytoseiulus persimilis adults in the treatment of body dipping.
