< 11 >In worldwide, poultry houses for egg layers are often affected by ectoparasites and especially by Dermanyssus gallinae, also called the poultry red mite. Infestations of this mite can result in significant stress to hens with subsequent reductions in condition growth rate, egg quality and production. The objective of this study was focused on the set-up of a monitoring protocol for on-farm monitoring of Dermanyssus gallinae.
