문헌정보를 분석하여 줄기세포 관련 “인간 전사 조절인자 네트워크 데이터베이스(TRRUST로 연구팀이 명명)”를 구축하고, 이를 활용하여 분화와 조직재생에 관련된 신규 전사조절 인자를 발굴함. (Genome Biology 등 관련분야 상위 5% 권위지 2편 포함 26편/특허출원 및 등록 5건)

Cell therapy, regenerating injured tissue with hESC-derived cells, is anticipated to be in high demand in regenerative medicine and biotech industry in near future. However, we still have problems in current protocols for differentiating hESC. To improve effectiveness and safety of cell therapy, we need to understand molecular mechanisms of transcriptional regulation of cell differentiation and tissue regeneration. Employing systems biology approaches, we will attempt to elucidate regulatory networks for tissue specific stem cell differentiation and regenerating tissues.

□ Results
1. Constructing a human transcriptional regulation network using a massive datamining
가. Constructing a network between transcription factor and genes using barious biological data.
나. Improving a quality of the network using a textmining database including the TRRUST.
다. Constructing a massive transcriptional regulation network including almost all transcription factor by a network integration.
2. Finding transcription factors important for a stem cell differentiation
가. Finding a differentially expressed genes list using a transcriptome data before and after differentiation of stem cells.
나. Finding factors that regulate the differentially expressed genes by applying constructed human transcriptional regulation network.
3. Finding functions of secretome of a mesenchymal stem cells using a network technology
가. Inducing secretions of vesicle of mesenchymal stem cells using brain extract of stroke induced mice.
나. Unraveling relationships of protein included in secretome with angiogenesis, neural regeneration and cell necrosis.
다. Constructing network of stroke curing proteins using functional network.
4. Finding factors related to reprogramming using a human function gene network
가. Demonstrating a tissue regeneration study using the constructed human transcriptional regulation network.
