□ 연구의 목적 및 내용 본 연구의 최종연구목표는 서로 다른 기초학문분야(유기화학, 무기화학, 고분자화학, 양자화학, 나노, 전기 화학, 및 분자분광학 등)를 함께 접목함으로써 합성 및 특성 연구가 가능한, 분자 구조 제어 기술 확립을 통한 에너지 나노 소재의 개발과, 개발한 핵심 소재에 대한 구조-특성 상호 연관성을 정립하고, 이로부터 핵심 소재에 구조 최적화 및 성능 극대화를 도출함으로써, 에너지 나노 소재 분야의 분자 설계 지침서를 도출하여 태양전지분야의 재료 혁명을 불러 일으킴과 동시에 최상의 특성을 발현하는 혁신 적인

□ 연구결과 1. 분자공학을 통한 높은 광흡수율⋅전색체 흡수 가능한 고효율 포피린 포함 유기 염료개발 - 신규 전자주개 및 π-bridge 단위체 도입, 구조 특성 상호 연관성 확립, 공감응 공정기술 적용 고전압 염료감응 tandem cell 개발 및 셀 효율 > 14.64% (0.16 cm²)] 달성함. 2. 인쇄 가능한 장수명⋅고효율 염료감응 태양전지를 위한 구조 및 형태 제어된 고분자 공중합체 기반 준고체 전해질 개발 : RAFT(Reversible Addition-fragmentation chain -Transfer)합성법 적용 신규 블락공중합체 3종 합성 및 나노 필러형태 소자기술 개발하였고, 액체 전해질 단점을 보완한 신규 고분자 개발 및 준고체 전해질 개발 셀 효율 >10.2% (0.16 cm²)] 달성함. 3. 귀금속 (Pt) 촉매를 대체하기 위한 다기능성 고분자 공중합체 물질 기반으로부터 저가 카본 나노 물질 (carbon nanomaterials) 상대전극 개발 : Pt 대체용 저가, 고효율 상대전극 개발하였고, 탄화과정의 단순화 및 볼밀링 공정(ball-milling) 을 통한 가장자리 선택적인 기능화 기술 개발하여 셀 효율 ≥ 11.83% (0.16 cm²), 투과도 80% (400-800nm) 달성함. 4. 페로브스카이트 기반 유기/무기 혼성 박막 태양전지의 고효율 및 가격 절감을 위한 신규 정공수송물질 개발 : 신규 정공수송물질(HTM) 3종 설계 및 합성, 치환기 기능화를 통한 구조 최적화와 구조-특성 상호연관성 정립 셀 효율 >18% (0.16 cm²)] 및 정공수송능력:≥1.8×10-4cm² V-1s-1] 달성함. 5. 대기 안정성 및 친환경적인 신규 유기/무기 혼성 광감응체 개발 : FAPbI₃_MAPbBr₃ 혼성 광감응체 개발 셀 효율 >18.3% (0.16 cm²) 습도 50% 대기 100시간 안정성 달성 및 MAPbI3-xClx 광활성층 기반 페로브스카이트 태양전지 구현 및 최적화 성공하여 셀 효율 >18.3% (0.16 cm²) 달성함. (SCI급 국외논문 15편과 국내 특허 출원 6건 및 등록 2건과 국외 특허 출원 2건)
□ 연구결과의 활용계획 본 연구과제의 성공적인 수행을 통한 기대효과는 염료 감응 태양전지⋅페로브스카이트 박막 태양전지의 메커니즘 이해와 이를 통한 다양한 학문의 융합을 통하여 새로운 학문의 장을 열게 될 것임. 또한 염료, 고분자 공중합체, 정공수송물질, 고분자 공중합체 기반 카본 나노 소재, 페로브스카이트 광감응체 등의 에너지 나노 소재의 기능 향상을 통해 고효율 염료 감응 태양전지⋅페로브스카이트 태양전지의 개발이 가능하며 다양한 에너지 나노 분야에 접목이 가능한 새로운 패러다임을 제공할 것임. 이와 함께 에너지 나노 소재는 다양한 분야의 응용으로부터 국내⋅외 태양전지 산업의 급격한 발전과 에너지 나노 소재에 관한 핵심 원천기술의 확보를 통해 국가 경쟁력이 강화될 것임.또한, 친환경적이고 무한한 태양광에너지의 발전은 화석에너지를 대체함으로써 지구온난화를 막고, 에너지 관련 신 산업발전에 기여함으로써 한국 경제에 새로운 기반을 마련할 것임.

□ Expected Contribution * The development of new core energy nanomaterials will provide basis for technical innovation on next generation thin film solar cells. * If the materials are to be developed through this research, we will have the leverage to lead the world in tomorrow's photovoltaics technology and the technological impact will be similar to the integrated circuit development in semiconductor industries. * This will not only be considered to be the material revolution in the heart of exploratory materials in photovoltaics, but also will open up many new areas of applications of core energy nanomaterials for use in the energy storage devices for the future generation. * These amazing accomplishments will make the manufacturing cost of solar cells dramatically decrease to secure the competitive position in electricity production and to expect the rapid expansion of the solar cell market.
