○ 생체 친화적이고 생체조직에 깊이 침투하는 NIR에 고감응성을 보이며, 비침습적으로 in vivo 이미징을 가능하게하며, in vivo에서 NIR로 하이드로겔 형성을 가능하게 하는 새로운 나노 물질을 개발하여, 고기능성 암치료, 세포치료, 센서로의 활용 가능한 플랫폼 기술을 개발하고 평가함을 목적으로 함. NIR을 보다 효율적으로 이용하여, NIR을 다른 여러 형태의 신호로 변환 응용하여, 고감도의 바이오센싱, 고효율 세포조절과 같은 일반적인 기술로는 얻어지기 힘든 기능을 갖도록 함

목적 및 내용

○ NIR 조사에 의해 감응하는 HPNs을 활용하여 생체주사 후 NIR 조사에 따른 원격적으로 in situ 하이드로젤 형성 유도 및 세포전달 기술 개발
○ 바이오마커 반응에 의해 플라즈모닉 공명 변조가 가능하거나 광열/PDT 암세포 사멸이 가능한 바이오리셉터-HPNs 복합체의 제조 및 이를 활용한 신개념 암세포 사멸 및 이미징 기술개발

○ 근적외선에 효율적으로 반응하는 다양한 형태의 HPNs을 개발함으로써 고효율, 고감도, 고기능의 근적외선 감응형 나노재료에 관한 원천 기술 확보가 가능할 뿐만 아니라, 이를 바탕으로 한 바이오센싱, 하이드로겔/줄기전달, 암치료용의 기능 및 효율을 증진시키는 응용 기술을 구현함과 신가치의 창출에 이바지 할 것으로 기대함
○ 근적외선 반응 나노물질-압타머 복합체를 이용한 바이오센서는 비경쟁적 바이오센싱이 어려운 저분자 화학물질의 초고감도/비경쟁 바이오센싱이 가능하기 때문에 곰팡이독소, 패독, 농약, 항생제, 대사질환 마커, 대사성 암 표지자 등을 간편하게 측정할 수 있어 식품/환경 안전, 질병 진단 및 모니터링 등의 분야에서 기존 기술의 병목을 해결하는 원천기술에 해당하여 다방면으로 활용성이 높으며 우수한 기술적 가치를 가짐
○ 줄기세포의 생체 내 전달 기능뿐만 아니라 줄기세포의 성장환경을 외부에서 원격적으로 조절할 수 있는 기술은 의약적 활용의 영향이 매우 큰 조직공학 분야에서 세포 치료 방법의 새로운 가능성을 열어주어 다양한 질환 치료 연구에 밑바탕이 될 것으로 기대됨. 줄기세포 이식을 위한 독자적 기반기술 확립이 가능하여, 다양한 장기에도 이용될 수 있어 경제적 파급 효과가 매우 클 것으로 기대함.

○ Development of high-performance hetero-plasmonic nanomaterials (HPNs) efficiently utilizing biocompatibile and tissue penetrating NIR light will enable high-sensitivity and high-efficiency for imaging and cell modulation, such as sensing, cancer therapy, and cell/biomaterial-based therapy.
○ These approaches and outcomes will impact the field of bio-sensing, cancer therapy, and tissue engineering, by providing excellent integrative hybrid systems based on nano-plasmonic particles for delivery, targeting, therapy, and imaging. Hence, these results will facilitate not only the fundamental studies in nanomaterial science, biology, cell physiology, and optics, but also clinical applications.
○ in vivo hydrogelation and stem cell delivery with controllability of hydrogel properties will open a new way to apply the cell therapy in tissue engineering, providing the foundation for stem cell therapeutics that appliable to various tissues and organs, and thus it is expected to have a great economic effect.
