본 연구의 목표는 포스트휴머니즘, 인간의 기술 발전 및 종교가 인간 및 생태 번영의 개념을 이해 하도록 도울 수 있는 방법을 연구하는 것입니다. 최근 대두되는 담론인 포스트휴머니즘은 어떻게 인간의 삶에 기여 할 수 있는가? 에 대한 질문입니다. 뿐만 아니라, 기술 및 종교와의 학제 간 연구가 인간의 번영의 개념을 재고하고 일상적인 삶의 윤리를 형성하는 데 어떤 도움이 될 수 있는가? 에 대한 학문적 연구를 진행하려 합니다. 이는 대표적으로 현재까지도 지속적으로 흥미를 가지고 논의하며, 진행하려고 하는 ‘인간의 행복에 관한 연구’와도 궁극적으로 일치합니다. 행복이라는 연구주제는 인간만이 다룰 수 있는 주제입니다. 구체적으로, 많은 선진국 국가들이 "행복의 함정"을 피하는 데 실패했습니다. 즉, 많은 국민의 복지와 행복을 희생시키면서 경제적 발전을 달성한 사례입니다(Layard, and Sachs, eds. 2012; Helliwell, Layard, Sachs 및 De Neve, 2021). 언급된 것과 같은 모순은 단순히 포스트휴머니즘으로 대두되는 기술과 인간의 진보만으로는 인간의 가장 깊은 필요를 충족시킬 수 없음을 나타냅니다. 이 연구의 주요 목적은 포스트휴머니즘, 기술 및 종교가 인간 및 생태 번영의 개념을 이해하도록 도울 수 있는 방법을 연구할 것입니다. 최근 대두되는 담론인 포스트휴머니즘은 어떻게 인간의 삶에 기여할 수 있는가? 에 대한 질문과 더불어 공동연구자와 핀란드와 한국의 행복과 번영의 현상에 대해 다양하게 간 학문적으로 연구하는 것입니다. 이 프로젝트의 두 번째 목적은 단순한 인간의 행복과 번영의 담론을 명료화하고 풍부하게 하는 것이 아니라, 포스트휴머니즘 및 기술 및 종교의 시각에서 바라본 핀란드와 한국의 행복과 번영(Planetary flourishing)을 결정짓는 다양한 요인들과 그것들이 어떻게 맥락화될 수 있는지에 대한 깊이를 얻으려 노력할 것입니다.

□ 연구내용
이전 한국연구재단으로부터 지원받아 진행한 글로벌 교육 및 사회 변혁 세미나 시리즈에서 나온 핵심적인 학문적 요소 중 하나는 포스트휴머니즘, 기술 및 종교의 상호 연결성을 적극적으로 반영하여 후속 연구를 진행하려고 합니다. 이러한 학제 간 대화가 어떻게 전 세계적으로 번성하는 일상 관행을 촉진할 수 있는지 연구할 것을 제안할 것입니다. 포스트휴머니즘, 기술의 번영 및 종교가 인간의 번영 개념(Planetary flourishing)에 대한 이해와 해석을 심화하는 데 어떻게 도움이 될 수 있는지 조사하려고 합니다. 앞서 선행연구를 진행한 학자, 미국의 Miroslav Volf, Yale uni, 핀란드의 Mika Vähäkangas, Åbo Akademi Universities 와 이에 대한 학제간 심층 토론이 매우 필요합니다. 더 나아가, 이러한 학문적 논의는 현재 포스트휴먼담론의 맥락에서 점점 더 중요한 작업이 되고 있습니다. 이는 포스트휴머니즘, 기술 및 종교가 세계에 대한 편협하고 환원주의적인 개념에 대한 교정으로서 정치 및 경제 성장, 기후 변화, 국가 개발, 빈곤 완화 및 지역사회 참여에서 자신의 역할 측면에서 점점 더 인식되고 있고 궁극적으로 인간의 행복과도 직접적으로 연결될 수 있을 것으로 예상되기 때문에 학문적으로 매우 중요할 것으로 사료 됩니다.

포스트휴머니즘이 인류와 생태에 미치는 변혁적 영향을 탐구하는 원고를 작성 중입니다. 주요 초점은 빈곤 감소와 과학 기술의 발전이 사회경제적 격차 해소에 어떻게 기여할 수 있는지에 맞춰질 것입니다. 또한 포스트휴머니즘 사상을 빈곤 완화 전략에 통합하는 것과 관련된 잠재적 이점과 단점을 모두 알고 있습니다. 첫째, 우리는 교육과 정보에 대한 접근성을 높이는 혁신적인 기술 개발에 포스트휴머니즘 원칙을 적용해야 한다고 주장할 것입니다. 둘째, 포스트휴머니즘 원칙은 성별과 섹슈얼리티에 대한 전통적인 관념에 도전하여 노동과 생산성에서 여성의 주체성을 증진할 수 있는 잠재력을 가지고 있습니다. 이는 또한 포스트휴머니즘과 빈곤 감소가 교차하는 지점에서 포용과 차이의 윤리를 발전시켜야 한다는 것을 의미합니다. 다시 말해, 포스트휴먼 상상력은 형평성, 접근성, 기술의 의도하지 않은 결과 등의 문제를 신중하게 탐색할 것을 요구합니다. 포스트휴머니즘에서 영감을 받은 개입의 혜택이 공평하게 분배되고 기존의 사회적 불평등을 악화시키지 않도록 하는 것이 필수적입니다.

결론적으로, 우리는 빈곤 감소 노력에 포스트휴머니즘적 관점을 통합하는 것이 기술 발전을 활용하여 시스템적 문제를 해결할 수 있는 가능성을 제시할 것입니다. 그러나 이러한 패러다임 전환과 관련된 복잡성과 잠재적 함정을 헤쳐 나가기 위해서는 미묘하고 윤리적으로 근거 있는 접근 방식이 필수적입니다. 끊임없이 진화하는 기술 환경 속에서 빈곤 감소를 위한 보다 포용적이고 지속 가능한 접근법을 만들기 위해서는 포스트휴머니즘의 이점을 활용하는 것과 그 부작용을 방지하는 것 사이에서 균형을 잡는 것이 무엇보다 중요합니다.

The goal of this research is to study how posthumanism, human technological development, and religion can help us understand the concept of human and ecological flourishing. The question is: How can posthumanism, a recently emerging discourse, contribute to human flourishing? Furthermor

The goal of this research is to study how posthumanism, human technological development, and religion can help us understand the concept of human and ecological flourishing. The question is: How can posthumanism, a recently emerging discourse, contribute to human flourishing? Furthermore, how can interdisciplinary research with technology and religion help us rethink the concept of human flourishing and shape the ethics of everyday life? This ultimately coincides with my research on human happiness, which I continue to be interested in and discuss to this day. The study of happiness is a topic that only humans can address. Specifically, many developed countries have failed to avoid the "happiness trap," i.e., they have achieved economic development at the expense of the well-being and happiness of many of their citizens (Layard, and Sachs, eds. 2012; Helliwell, Layard, Sachs, & De Neve, 2021). Contradictions such as the ones mentioned indicate that the deepest human needs cannot be met simply by technological and human progress, which is what posthumanism is all about. The main purpose of this research is to investigate how posthumanism, technology and religion can help us to understand the concept of human and ecological flourishing. I will conduct an interdisciplinary study of the phenomenon of happiness and flourishing in Finland and South Korea, with the question: how can posthumanism, a recently emerging discourse, contribute to human life? The second aim of the project is not simply to clarify and enrich the discourse of human happiness and prosperity, but to gain depth on the various factors that determine happiness and planetary flourishing in Finland and South Korea and how they can be contextualised through the lens of posthumanism, technology and religion.

One of the key scholarly elements that emerged from our previous Korea Research Foundation-funded seminar series on global education and social transformation is the interconnectedness of posthumanism, technology, and religion, and we would like to follow up our research by actively reflecting on how this interdisciplinary dialogue can promote globally flourishing everyday practices. I would like to investigate how posthumanism, technological flourishing and religion can help to deepen our understanding and interpretation of the concept of planetary flourishing. There is a great need for in-depth interdisciplinary discussions on this with scholars who have done previous work, Mika Vähäkangas, Åbo Akademi Universities, Finland. Furthermore, such an academic discussion is an increasingly important task in the context of the current posthuman discourse. This is of great academic importance because posthumanism, technology and religion are increasingly being recognised in terms of their role in political and economic growth, climate change, national development, poverty alleviation and community engagement as a corrective to narrow and reductionist conceptions of the world, and are ultimately expected to be directly linked to human happiness.

□ Results
We are still working on the manuscript that explores the transformative impact of posthumanism on humanity and ecology. The main focus will be on poverty reduction and how advancements in science and technology can contribute to addressing socio-economic disparities. We are also aware of both the potential benefits and drawbacks associated with integrating posthumanist ideas into poverty alleviation strategies. First, we will argue that posthumanist principles should be applied in the development of innovative technologies that enhance access to education and information. Second, posthumanism principles have the potential to challenge traditional notions of gender and sexuality leading to increased promotion of women's agency in labor and productivity. This also means the intersection of posthumanism and poverty reduction requires the development of ethics of inclusivity and difference. In other words, posthuman imagination demands that issues of equity, access, and the unintended consequences of technology are carefully navigated. It is imperative to ensure that the benefits of posthumanist-inspired interventions are distributed equitably and do not exacerbate existing social inequalities.

□ Expected Contribution
In conclusion, we will demonstrate that the incorporation of posthumanist perspectives in poverty reduction efforts holds promise for leveraging technological advancements to address systemic challenges. However, a nuanced and ethically grounded approach is essential to navigate the complexities and potential pitfalls associated with this paradigm shift. Striking a balance between harnessing the benefits of posthumanism and safeguarding against its adverse effects is paramount to creating a more inclusive and sustainable approach to poverty reduction in an ever-evolving technological landscape.
