The 2013 Suncheon-Bay Garden Expo, Korea, was successfully held from Apr. 20th, to Oct. 20th 2013. With approval from AIPH and the Korean government the Garden Expo. showcased 83 gardens from 23 countries over 6 months. These gardens provided beauty and various opportunities to develop industries related to the garden. The Garden Expo. was successful as a place that increased lifestyles. This converged with industry including: exhibition, culture, healing, beautiful flowers and trees, garden articles, and garden facilities. The area was eventually named the Suncheon-bay Garden and was designated National Garden No. 1. The history and meaning of Suncheon-bay Garden are outlined here: 1.
