This study considers how Korean narrative poem which created most by KAPF is developed with some of short epics of KAPF and the popular poem, and also discusses the characteristic of its process of development and the reason why the narrative poem appeared. The reason why its process of development is discussed mainly by KAPF and the popular poem is that : the formation of the narrative poet can be seen and developed from poets of KAPF, though as going of many of poets to North Korea by ideology trouble which was given after liberation, after 1970's it appears again and develops in the basis of the popular poems. This study consider the narrative poem as two periods. First period is from late 1920's to 1930's : in this period the narrative poet appear first and developed by poets of KAPF, Beak Seok and Lee Yong-Ak. Second period is from 1970's to 1980's : it is developed by Shin Kyung-Lim, Ko Eun and Park No-Hae. Therefore the process of the narrative is considered in this study by comparison between two periods as divided above : both the factor that the narrative poem was appeared and the characteristic of the process of the its development concretely. The first narrative poem begins by Lim Hwa who is a member of KAPF. Showing the formation of narrative poem first with publishing 「Geolmeun Sun-La eui Pyeonji (Young Sun-la's letter)」, he makes a establishment the form with 「Neguri eui Sun-Yi (Sun-Yi on the crossroad)」, 「Uri O'ppawa Hwaro (my brother and a fire pot)」. The narrative poem given a name as 'DanPyeon Seosa Shi (short Epic)' is written continuously by KAPF : Park Se-Young and Kim Hae-Kang, and they explains reality of Korean People living in the colonial times in the point of view of class consciousness based on socialism. With dissolution of KAPF, the narrative poem is succeeded and developed by Baek-Seok and Lee Yong-Ak who came out in the middle of 1930's. They make an approach more objectively about reality peoples are faced instead sentimental approach of KAPF which requires awakening of social class, and in a side of form and explanation their writings outdistance affected by Modernism. Such poetic trend of Baek Seok and Lee Yong-Ak is succeeded to popular poets of 1970's : Shin Kyung-Lim, Ko Eun and Park No-Hae. Seeing aspects that farmers and laborers are alienated because of unbalance by industralization and experiencing political chaos that the Yushin (Revitalizing Reforms in South Kroea) caused, poets in this period give shape of that through consciousness of reality Korean people are placed. With this movements of literary circles, narrative poem appears again. Shin Kyung-Lim describe real facts of rural community and peoples who live in this period realistically as his poems like 『Nong Mu (dance of farmers)』, and Ko Eun also shows attachment to peoples with depicting them living contemporary times through narrative structure. Especially Park No-Hae makes a shape of his routine labor experience in the industrial field and shows the life and consciousness of laborers at that time without any decoration. Besides, the narrative poem is developing continuously by Cho Tae-Il, Kim Jun-Tae, Lee Seong-Bu, Jeong Hee-Seung and Hwang Ji-Woo. According the development process as mentioned, it considered as three cause about the factor that the narrative poem is created in this study : historical and social necessity, insurance of realism, the view point of popularization.
