Effects of Ion drinks taken by high school football player under treadmill exercise loads on those players' heart and lung capacities and lactate levels원문보기

The purpose of this study is to determine effects of ion drinks on the exercise capability of football players when football matches. For the purpose, this researcher surveyed 10 football players at their 1st and 2nd grades of K high school located in Kimhae, who voluntarily participated in the study. The players were divided into two groups, that is, the group of taking ion drinks and that of taking water and then applied the exercise load test at Sports Medicine Laboratory, Inje University. The level of warm-up before the test was similar to that of exercise at an ordinary football match by high school football players. In detail, those participants ran for 10 minutes with 3% in gradient and 5km/h in speed and then for 10 minutes with 5% and 9km/h. Immediately after the totaled 20 minutes' warm-up, the participants each drank a 340ml beverage and took a rest for 30 minutes. To measure heart and lung functions of the football players under exercise load, the researcher used Alpha Oxycon from Germany's Jaeger, which consisted of 10 electric lines as designed to measure the exercise load capacity of the heart. Each of the players participating in this study was measured in terms of Hrmin^-1 O2-Pulse(02/HR), □E, Bfmin^-1, VO2max ㎖, □O2x/kg(㎖), □CO2 ㎖, and RQ on 30 seconds basis at the time of stability with no warm-up, 3, 9, 12 and 15 minutes after starting the exercise, the time of the exercise maximization and during 3 minutes' recovery from the exercise. Then the level of lactate before and 6 minutes after the exercise, at the time of the exercise maximization and during 3 minutes' recovery from the exercise. Differences in all these measurements between the two groups of taking ion drinks and drinking water were examined using t-test. There were no statistically significant differences in Hrmin^-1, O2- Pulse, □E, Bfmin^-1, □O2max ㎖, □O2/kg (㎖), □CO2 ㎖, and RQ between the two groups. Concerning the level of lactate, a fatigue substance, measured at before and 6 minutes after the exercise and at the time of recovery from exercise, the group whose members took ion drinks showed somewhat more lactate secretion than the other group. The former group was also longer in the time of exercise load than the latter.
