This research started to examine The influence of Child Physical Education on, Motor Ability and Cognitive Ability for 5, 6 years old infants and the relationship of them. This research is about 60 infants who are 5, 6 years old. It includes 30 infants at B annex established kindergarten and 30 infants at M kindergarten in Kyunggi province. The research was progressed by selecting each 15 infants in 5, 6 age at B kindergarten and controlled group composed of each 15 infants in 5, 6 age. This research chose the tool for measuring motor ability and cognitive ability as following. To measure the motor ability, three categories of locomotive motor pattern (15m running, hopping, Walking on a balance beam), two categories of manipulative motor pattern (Catching a ball, Shooting into the target), one category of stability motor pattern (Standing with one leg) were chosen. According to ?hypothetical classification of fundamental motor pattern? by Gallahue(1982). To measure the intelligent development, survey to teachers composed of six categories (perception, vocabulary, interest in study, creativeness, ability to express, sociality) were chosen. According to ‘Developmental Level Test for Early Childhood' by National Education Assessment Institute (1995) The result of the research is following. 1. In the matter of motor ability, the group executing child physical education program showed more improvement than other groups in every part. Considering each part, there are meaningful differences depending on groups (not on age) in '15m running' and 'hopping'. But about 'Throwing a ball' and 'Walking on a balance beam', meaningful differences are founded depending on age (not on groups). In 'Shooting into the target', we can see differences depending on both cases (age, groups. And no difference can be found between groups or age in 'Standing with one leg'). 2. In the case of kindergarten students who execute child physical education program, their cognitive abilities are reasonably advanced comparing with the time they didn't execute it. meanwhile, the kindergarten students who don't execute the program, their cognitive abilities go backward rather. In the case they join subordinate field programs, 'sociality', 'perception', and 'ability to express' are most advanced, but 'interest in study', 'math', 'science' and 'vocabulary' are least advanced. Of these, 'perception', 'ability to express', and 'sociality' parts show differences depending on both groups and age, however 'vocabulary', 'ability to study', 'math' and 'science' parts show differences only on groups (not on age). 3. In the relationship between motor ability and cognitive ability, for 5 years old infants, there are meaningful relations between 'hopping', 'perception', 'walking on a balance beam'(locomotive motor) and 'math, science'(p<.05). For 6 years old infants, there is the greatest difference in ‘Catching a ball'(locomotive motor) and 'ability to study'(p<.05). In the relations between motor ability and cognitive ability of the groups not joining in child physical education programs in 5 years, 'Standing with one leg'(manipulative motor), ’Walking on a balance beam' and '15m running' (locomotive motor) have statistically meaningful relations with 'perception (p<.05). 'Catching a ball', ‘Shooting into the target' (stability motor ability) and ‘hopping’ (locomotive motor) have statistically meaningful relations with 'vocabulary'(p<.05). 'Shooting into the target' has a statistically meaningful relation with ability to 'math', 'science' and 'Catching a ball' has relations with' ability to express' and 'sociality'(p.<05) .On the contrary, "Shooting into the target' and 'vocabulary' have a. statistically meaningful relation for 6 years old infants (p<.05)
