People tend to resort to a nature, which is an inevitable reaction from the hectic urban life. There has been a steady need toward the natural forest, and it is growing fast in Korea. However, even though the quantity of service providers has been increased, the service quality has not been actually improved. This study provides a thorough analysis for the management status quo of nature forest resort services. After the general scanning of the industry, the study will examine how to elevate the service quality. The targeted nature forest resort for this study is narrowed down to Myung Mt, Cheong-Tae Mt and Tae-Kwan Ryung. The data was gathered on a survey basis, and the statistics have been processed with the SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Science) program for the Window Verson 10.0. Followings are the summed points for the status quo. First, there was a gender difference in tourists interests, understandings, and activities for the forest resorts (These three aspects will be termed as fundamentals from now on). This should be the most underpinning point when contriving a PR or marketing work. Especially when delivering the ecology issues into the surface. Secondly, the age group also played an important role in determining the fundamentals. However, people who come to a nature forest resort showed a high interest and knowledge for the environmental issues, notwithstanding their age pools. Therefore, it can be said that tourists surely want to know whether the nature development has been coordinated with the green keepings in mind, and the resort is not an exploitation of the nature. Third factor that tourists gauge when choosing the resort place was their interest and knowledge for the nature. The survey proved that the more people are exposed to environmental issues, the more they are prone to visit natural resorts. You have to steer their attention to environmental issues, and show them that your place meet all the criteria; then, the tourists will find the resort even more attractive. Here, the tour guide is crucial to educate and inspire tourists along with the basic sightseeing programs. Fourth, the survey also told us that there is a mutual relation between the fundamentals. It was found that tourists in the nature forest are highly concerned for the environment. If you provide a nature education in depth or making people to participate to green-keeping programs, tourists would feel they are actually helping the nature to recover, and find it fulfilling. The study result also manifested noticeable points that should be emphasized. First, the nature-oriented tour services have not been fully settled into the market industry of Korea. There has not been a solid integration between the infrastructure, service materials and the manpower pool. This also tells us that even though you start with the fair motto of nature conservation, it is prone to be slanted to a commercial purpose. The service provider should accommodate wholesome environment and nature education programs, to enhance its level of service even further. Secondly, you should seek the utmost satisfaction of the tourists. For this, you can pre-educate tourists, such as service program manuals, eco-system teachings, and an awakening for environmental issues. Third factor is the accumulated effect from the above. By providing nature resource related teachings, you can emphasize the benefit which people can enjoy from your tour service. Because it is focused to learning and understanding toward the nature, people can learn while having a good time, all the while keeping the nature clean and healthy.
