The purpose of this study is to examine effects of infant sports on sociality development. For the purpose, the study classified 122 infants of three to five year old from kindergartens located in Puk-gu, Pusan Metropolitan City into experiential and comparative groups and then analyzed their social maturity level according to their sexes and whether they play infant sports or not. The results of the study are as follows ; 1. Since social maturity level of the former group was significantly five percent higher than that of the latter, it is seemed that infant sports have a positive effect on sociality development of infants. 2. Such level of female infants out of the experimental group was significantly five percent higher than that of male ones out of the both groups, indicating that infant sports have a more positive influence in sociality development of female infants. 3. The social age of the former group was zero point fourth-three(0.43) year older than that of the latter. This indicates that infant sports significantly increase social ages of the younger babies. 4. It was found that infant sports significantly increase social ages of infants, especially female ones. 5. Sub-elements as more significantly accountable to social maturity level were communication ability were communication ability for the experimental group(31.59%) and socialization and self-control abilities for the comparative ones. Infants learn socialities such as understanding and collaborating with others, confession, respect for rights of others and their position, achievement of self-developmental tasks through infant sports. Thus such sports contribute to physical, perceptual and linguistic developments of the younger babies and there on influence the sociality advancement. Consequently the promotion by infant education of such socialities requires the combination by kindergartens of perception-oriented teaching with various sports as systemized and institutionalized.
