In this study, the crystallo-chemistry and ionic conduction properties of 3D-perovskite oxides ABO_(3) and 2D-layered type oxides AMO_(2) have been investigated. In PART1, ABO_(3) perovskite-type oxides Li_(0.33)Sr_(0.34+x)Sc_(x)Nb_(1-x)O_(3), Li_(0.33)Sr_(0.34+x-y)Sc_(x)La_(y)Ta_(1-x)O_(3) were synthesized by solid state reaction. Li-concentration has been fixed to be 0.33, and the influences of vacancy concentration and compositional effects on the ionic conductivity has been examined. It was found that the vacancy centration playes more important role than other factors such as unit cell size and bond character. In PART 2, the rock-salt derived layer-type compounds Na_(x)Ni_(x/2-y)Mg_(y)Ti_(1-x/2)O_(2) (x=0.67, 0.75 ; 0≤y≤0.25) were synthesized by solid state reaction under Ar-flow. When Mg^(2+) was introduced into the site of Ni^(2+), a significant variation of bond character of the competitive Na-O-M bond has been induced leading to the change of the ionic conductivity despite the unchanged vacancy concentration and structure. Such a variation indicates the bond character largely affects the ionic conductivity. With Mg^(2+) composition, the conductivity has been decreased mainly because of the reinforced covalency of Na-O. Layer-type oxides AgxNi_(x/2-y)Mg_(y)Ti_(1-x/2)O_(2)(x=0.67, 0.75 ; 0≤y≤0.25) have been prepared by cation-exchange reaction using the corresponding Na precursors in molten-salt ambiance. The cation substitution by Ag ion greatly perturbes the iono-covalency in A-O-M, resulting in the structure change into the 6-layered complicated structure. Since the Ag-O bond is much stronger than Na-O, the ionic conduction by Ag ion is fairly reduced but still shows a significant conductivity values. The Mg^(2+)-content has been proved to show the same effect in Ag-compounds as in Na-ones, the conductivity has been decreased with Mg^(2+)-content and the crystallinity also seems to be deteriorated due to the large difference of ionic size.
