In these days, organizations expand an investment for organization innovation actively to respond to a rapidly changing management environment. The implementation of ERP system is one of representative ways of organization innovation. The difference that distinguishes ERP system with another is the inclusion of a leading company's best practice. The organization when introducing the ERP system has to customize it due to the difference of both the company's environment and the best practice. In general, the organization requires the customization of ERP system to the ERP vendor. This paper includes a case of L electronics corporation which implemented ERP system in 1996 and tried to upgrade it to solve the problems which occurred after the customization of ERP system. Chapter one, Introduction, describes the necessity and objective of this paper and the method, extend, and structure of research. Chapter two, Theoretical Background, reviews the related literature and tries to represent the concept, history, features, necessity, implementation methodology of ERP system. Chapter three, The problem and concept of customization, investigates the concept, steps, and problems of customization and describes the way for process optimization through effective customization. Chapter four, The case study, represents the briefing of L electronics corporation and the necessity, extent, end effect of ERP system upgrade. Chapter five, Summary and Conclusion, summarizes the results of this paper and provides the direction of future study. The implication of this paper is as follows.
