In the Korean educational situation explaining grammar is difficult and students especially run into difficulties with the grammar of ‘사이시옷’, because it requires phonemic and semantic interpretation etc. To take it into consideration. in the thesis I try to develop teaching plans for the students to learn ‘사이시옷’ grammar in an engaging and interesting manner. Before this, I explain the linguistic aspect of ‘사이시옷’ (phonics, morphology, syntax and semantics) through formerly mentioned studies. As for phonics, I explain '사이시옷‘ using the previously developed linguistic concepts of the principle of double consonants, prevention of vocalization, the phenomenon of tensefication, and the pause between terms. As for its morphology, the phenomenon of ‘사이시옷’ is regarded as indicating the genitive case and has the function of genitive ending. In terms of syntax, I explain that the functions of '사이시옷‘ regards case ending of the possessive case, locative case, and the genitive case and is also a means of preventing grammatical errors of syntax. In addition I explain how to apply '사이시옷’ in chinese characters. I observe ‘The transition of '사이시옷’ from Middle Korean to Modern Korean and Recent Korean. In each time period I was able to find the features marking ‘사이시옷’ usage. The teaching plans presented in this thesis are based on "The Spelling System of Hangeul"(1988) and the usage is frequent and often mistaken in everyday life. The teaching plans are based on the learning model of the Korean language developed by Park young-mok. Also I designed teaching plans so students would use of the internet and especially by using specific Korean language web sites which allow the students to practically apply the grammar of ‘사이시옷.’ It is my wish that korean teachers and students can discover learning.
